What Owners are Saying About the 2006 Mercedes-Benz R-Class

"Back in the driver's seat after a 10 year hiatus."

"I love the MB R Class. Owned an 06 early in production run, and when my wife's Ford Flex bit the dust, we decided to look at one. They are hard to find decently optioned with an acceptable number of miles. They are now a great value. A vehicle that was ahead of its time, and poorly marketed and packaged by Mercedes. These are ultimate long distance cruisers and so much easier to live with than an SUV."

"Solid as a vault Roomy everywhere Extreme comfort"

"Needed to get a much roomier vehicle than our 2015 Lincoln MKC Reserve 2.3 AWD. We make 1000 mile round trips from NY-Maine and travel with our 3 dogs. Plus we need room for luggage and essentials. I forgot Mercedes made these and luckily came across a one owner 2010 R350 4Matic in our favorite colors : white exterior w/ Beige interior. This model now has 139,000 miles and is still as quiet and screwed together as when new. Every imaginable option is here : AWD full leather seating w/ the 6 captain chairs Panoramic roof Navigation w/ back up camera Bluetooth rear DVD AMG Sport Appearance Package w/ 19” wheels Premium 2 Package.... the list is endless. My local Mercedes dealer said the MSRP when new was just under $60,000 !!! No wonder Mercedes didn’t sell to many “minivans” at that price threshold. Better still when I needed to have the 135K service done I got a $100 off service coupon from Mercedes (I’ve owned countless ‘Benz vehicles) which knocked the cost down to UNDER $200 !!! At a Mercedes dealer too !!! I’m 6’5” and 250+ lbs and previous few vehicles accommodate my size. This one does with room to spare. Visibility is fantastic, driving dynamics are typical Mercedes perfect and it just looks amazing for a minivan/crossover. Nitpicks? HEAVY car (nearly 5000 lbs w/o passengers or cargo) : only takes premium fuel and gobbles it up around town (17 mpg) BUT gets 26 mpg highway which is what we use her for mostly and lastly those rear doors are just comically HUGE. Don’t squeeze into parking spaces with rear seat passengers unless you like door dings and dents. Bottom line : LOVE LOVE LOVE this car. Worth finding the best you can and surprisingly affordable even then. Online forums do say to grab o e of the last three model year examples. All the kinks worked out by then. A great choice for what we needed."

"I wish this car was still available"

"I love this car. I bought this with 19,000 miles off of a lease. Mine is 14 years old. It has seen city miles and sent off to college with my son. Very sorry this is no longer sold in the states. Wonderful car. It is a well-designed beautiful tank. The interior is lovely burled wood, the functionality is perfectly equipped. I wish I could buy this again."
