"best ride I've ever owned"

I bought my van fully loaded and couldn't be happier !

VS

Critical Review

"It is what it is..."

Headliner had to be replaced several times because of creases and sagging. Van started leaking gasoline on cold starts within a year. Various electrical issued with tow hitch wiring Transmission had a major issue 3 days after warranty ended........... The ride quality has diminished since purchase, after towing a couple times now the entire vehicle has little rattles and squeaks here and there. Cruise control was promised but not included. MB Service is terrible for someone who owns "Just 1 Metris" and not a fleet

The only one I want

This is a fantastic vehicle. People jump on a bandwagon criticizing it without having their own opinion or true experience with it. It is very roomy and good on gas at the same time. It is very easy to get inside as compared to any large size SUV because the entryways are closer to the ground. It is very easy to get into as compared to any minivan out there because it is tall. An absolute must if you have a large friendly family where kids and grandparents share trips together to different places. The trunk/cargo area is plenty large. It is long enough to place two 35-bottle water packs in length, from backseat to the closed cargo doors. I transported a boxed tablesaw in the back without a problem. Seat's don't fold completely, only tilt forward, it's true, but frankly, if I need to transport something large or building materials I attach a trailer. I don't want lumber or concrete mix dust in my van anyway. On the road it is a true Mercedes. You really need to watch that seed gauge because it's so easy to go over the speed limit so well planted on the ground this vehicle is. It is reliable. I haven't had any minor defects with it as compared to the other vehicles I owned. I see people getting 250K+ miles on these with proper maintenance. Love everything about it.

Americans don't understand the great V-Klasse
Pros

Fast, well made, prestige, functional, hauling,

Cons

elec side doors, paint thin, need powered liftgate

Most Americans are ignorant of the Mercedes V-Klasse and the type of van that it is. American "minivans" are cheap inflated overrated Station Wagons. They are far less van and more car. The Metris/Vito is a real mid sized van. Its design is an excellent cross of functionality and comfort. Its a VAN that has the capability to haul goods, along with trailers and more. It was not designed to carry children or to serve as a grocery machine. Its a VAN, not a station wagon. The Metris is well made and doesn't go overboard with the computerized junk. There are fewer bells and whistles (ie, things to break) and has more workhorse features, because its a VAN. Not a stationwagon. If Americans actually traveled, they would know that the V-Klasse has been the backbone of Deutsch industry for a long time. Serving as Krankenwagens, delivery vans and more. Put the Metris against a Pacifica any day and see who leaves who in the dust. Power is in the torque. The Metris shares a family with the Sprinter and its little sister. Don't listen to uninformed American youtube idiots who call this the "worst mini van". Technically its not a minivan, its a VAN. Know this first before you base an opinion one a vehicle that's in a completely different class.

worst minivan ever!
Pros

none

Cons

the whole car

i have just wrote a review on the mistsubishi mirage and said ' this is the worst new car'.this van might tie it for the no 1 place. people argue that it's a cargo van converted to a passenger van so it will be like this. but then, better buy a minivan which is better in every single way. the 3rd row dosn't fold at all. there are many more bad things than just this.

Worst Design ever
Pros

Yes in summer not in winter

Cons

No

The Mercedes Benz is the worst vehicle ever in the modern mini van. The design seems like it was made back in Y2K 2000 year. First the seats in the rear can't decline which is uncomfortable to passengers. Second why don't the windows in the back can't go down. Terrible situation if it hit in the car an passengers can't breath. Also not great for moving things sites like big tvs an stuff. Last rear wheel drive in the wheel for a mini van is insane. Definitely selling car because poor quality in the snow. I'm sorry Mercedes Benz need to get Mr. Magoo out the design office. This could of been a top mini this style has been the same since 2018.

Solid van with too much technology
Pros

Peppy and dependable vehicle

Cons

Plain Jane van whose parts will drain the wallet

This has been a great vehicle for not leaving me stranded... solid power train, but the automation (sensors and power doors) leave a lot to be desired and will drain your wallet. I've replaced two actuators for the rear power doors, one locking mechanism for one of those doors, and a hood latch sensor that beeped every 5 seconds for two days until the part came in. That was all in the last 30k miles. For a 2017 vehicle, I'm shocked it didn't have Apple CarPlay; fortunately it did have Bluetooth. Never again, Mercedes... I'm going back to a Ford.

Roomy and excellent gas mileage
Pros

space, gas mileage, quality and reliability

Cons

Style, performance

This car has a lot of space for people and in the trunk. Gas mileage is much better than comparable minivans (22 mpg on highways). The quality of components and finishing is very good. The style (inside and outside) is not super (it is more a van than a car). Some extras: leatherette seats are stylish and easy to clean. Electric doors are super convenient. Performance is nothing special.

Great value and perfect size for your garage
Pros

MPG, acceleration, size, syling, load capacity

Cons

Wish it was more quiet more upfit options

If you are looking for a reliable cost effective cargo van that will easily fit into a standard garage-look no further. I needed at least 8' of cargo floor length due to the size of boxes I regularly carry and every other van I looked at that would accommodate that length was too big for my garage. I was also worried that the 4cyl engine would be underpowered and too loud and nothing could be further from the truth! This van has great acceleration and get's about 22 mpg in town and 25+ on the highway. Quality is really good and service intervals are at very generous 15K intervals. AC and heat is excellent and the Becker Navigation system is very intuitive and easy to use. I love this van and plan to add a second one sometime this year.
