The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe is a high-performance luxury midsize SUV with a coupe-like profile and segment-defining attention to detail. Pricing starts at $93,300.
For those on the hunt for a luxury midsize SUV that places style ahead of utility, the GLE Coupe is an excellent pick. Sure, it still has plenty of cargo-carrying capacity but that sloping coupe-like roof is in exchange for a bit of hauling space. If that suits your taste and needs, the GLE Coupe delivers a comfy ride, excellent road manners, and plenty of room for up to five. If you like your luxury with a smidgen of attitude, the AMG GLE Coupe fills the bill.
As the high-performance variants of the GLE Coupe line, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe and GLE 63 S Coupe offer power ranging from massive to extreme, with acceleration and handling to match.
We’ve spent hundreds of hours driving and researching the current collection of luxury midsize SUVs.
New standard equipment for 2025 includes an in-cabin fingerprint sensor and the AMG Crest emblazoned on the headrests — relatively minor updates on the heels of last year’s more significant equipment upgrade.
A new Manufaktur Signature interior package is available, featuring custom lettering on wood trim, high-pile floormats, AMG logos and embroidery on seats and floor mats, and Nappa leather accents, plus illuminated door sills. Also new for 2025 are Manufaktur Signature paint colors in Silicon Grey and Cote d’Azur Light Blue Metallic. New Manufaktur Signature upholstery options include Carmine Red, Truffle Brown, and Yacht Blue.
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe has a starting sticker price of $93,300, with the range-topping Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe GLE 63 S 4MATIC kicking off at $133,300. But Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Pricing currently suggests paying $5,132 to $5,599 less than MSRP, depending on trim and equipment. These prices are updated weekly.

$133,300 | $127,701 |
The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe starts about $1,000 dollars higher than last year, making it a very competitive alternative to the Porche Cayenne Coupe. The BMW X6 M is more closely aligned with the GLE 63 S Coupe. We recommend saving a few thousand by opting for the less pricey AMG GLE 53. It may not have quite the cachet and requires another second to hit 60 mpg from a standstill, but it still has plenty of go, as well as an impressive array of standard features. You can use that $40,000 savings to buy a fuel-stingy Toyota Prius for running errands and still have money left over to take a Bahamas vacation.
Before buying a new Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to know what you should be paying. The Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe enjoys better-than-average resale values within its segment. A higher resale value translates into more money to put down on your next vehicle.
Exceptional acceleration is the default for the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, with the entry to the range, the GLE 53, capable of 4.9-second 0-60-mph runs, and the range-topping GLE 63 S completing the feat in a blistering 3.7 seconds.
The 429-hp GLE 53 Coupe’s AMG Dynamic Select drive modes and AMG Ride Control+ suspension system enable genuinely impressive feats of grip and handling. The 21-inch AMG wheels and tires combine with the standard 4Matic all-wheel drive (AWD) to further enhance forward traction. The standard AMG Performance Exhaust ensures both occupants and passersby are aware of the GLE Coupe’s ferocity.
Stepping up to the GLE 63 S Coupe sees an increase to 603 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, thanks to the hand-built AMG 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 under the hood. It also gets an upgrade to AMG Active Ride Control suspension, an AMG electronic limited-slip differential on the rear axle, an advanced adaptive damping system, active dynamic engine mounts, and an even more capable AMG braking system.
As with the GLE 53, the GLE 63 S gets standard 4Matic all-wheel drive and rides on 22-inch AMG wheels with high-performance summer tires by default.
The 2025 GLE 53 Coupe is rated 20 mpg combined (18 city/22 hwy) and offers 450 miles of range on a tank. The potent GLE 63 S Coupe rates 16 mpg city (14 city/19 hwy) and manages just 360 miles of range per tank. Those figures are competitive with similarly high-performance coupe-SUVs. The Cayenne S Coupe scores 17 mpg combined, and the BMW X6 M Competition rates 15 mpg combined.
Last year’s updates to the GLE’s cabin saw the introduction of high-end features like chrome accents on the air vents, piano black trim, ambient lighting, and new color schemes — many of which were once in the territory of the ultra-luxurious Mercedes-Maybach models and the S-Class sedan. Those updates carry into 2025 with the same elegance and modern style. The only notable changes to the interior of the new AMG GLE Coupe are the addition of a fingerprint sensor and an AMG crest on the headrest as standard equipment.
The available Manufaktur Signature Interior Package offers a significant step up in luxury (for a $10,550 bump in price) with Nappa leather upholstery on the dashboard and doors, high-pile floormats with an embroidered AMG logo, microfiber headrests also embroidered with the AMG logo, custom lettering on wood trim, and illuminated door sills. The Manufaktur Signature Interior Package requires the addition to the Driver Assistance Package and the Pinnacle Trim, which includes rapid heating front seats, AMG logo projectors in the front doors, a head-up display, and the Air-Balance package with fragrance.
The AMG GLE Coupe’s cargo space hasn’t been disclosed, but it’s nearly identical in structure to the standard GLE Coupe. The GLE Coupe’s cargo space behind the second row is pretty good despite the raked roof, at 31.6 cubic feet, about 10 cubic feet more than the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, and about 4 cubic feet more than the BMW X6. With the second row folded, the GLE Coupe can hold up to 64.1 cubic feet of cargo, again about 10 cubic feet more than the Cayenne Coupe and about 5 cubic feet more than the BMW X6.
The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe is the high-performance, design-driven midsize luxury SUV option in the lineup, much like the BMW X6 M or the Audi SQ8 and RSQ8. It’s also sleeker and more stylish than the standard (non-coupe) AMG GLE SUV.
The AMG GLE 53 Coupe comes standard with 21-inch AMG wheels, metallic paint, an AMG exhaust system, LED headlights, and a range of AMG-specific details. The AMG GLE 63 S upgrades to 22-inch wheels and Active LED headlights. Both variants are eligible for the new exclusive Manufaktur Signature colors, Cote d’Azur Light Blue Metallic and Silicon Grey.
Wireless Smartphone Integration & Charging
Cutting the cords for connectivity and charging makes for a much cleaner, more hassle-free driver’s seat experience, and it’s the default on all AMG GLE Coupe models.
Hey Mercedes
The onboard digital voice assistant, activated by the “Hey Mercedes” wake word, is adept at taking commands in natural speech. Those commands also encompass a wide range of functions, including adjusting the HVAC settings, telling you where the first aid kit is, and more. We find voice commands allow us to keep our eyes on the road.
Advanced Driver Assist
In addition to standard active parking assist, automatic high beams, emergency braking, a surround-view system, and blind spot assist, the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe range offers a Driver Assistance Package that adds stop-and-go traffic following, active steering assist, route-based adaptive speed, and other advanced safety features that help take a lot of the strain out of commuting.
Burmester Surround Sound
Both the AMG GLE 53 Coupe and the AMG GLE 63 S Coupe get the excellent Burmester Surround Sound system as standard equipment. Its 13-speaker, 590-watt output is enhanced with Dolby Atmos for even more immersive audio.
Augmented Reality
This optional system superimposes information like direction arrows or street numbers on the center display with the aid of a forward-facing camera. It can be added along with a dashcam but is subject to limited availability.
Panoramic Glass Roof
The AMG GLE Coupe gets the panoramic glass sunroof as standard equipment, an upgrade over the standard GLE SUV. The large glass panel makes for a more open, brightly lit cabin, especially for second-row passengers.
The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe is powered by a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder turbocharged engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid assist system for a total output of 429 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. AMG GLE 53 Coupe claims a 4.9-second 0-60-mph time.
At the top of the AMG GLE Coupe range, the AMG GLE 63 S Coupe generates a massive 603 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque from a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with mild hybrid assist. The GLE 63 S Coupe’s claimed 0-60-mph acceleration time is just 3.7 seconds.
Both AMG variants get Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive as standard equipment, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Both models are also rated to tow up to 7,700 pounds.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty
The new vehicle warranty from Mercedes-Benz is for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever happens first. This applies to the powertrains as well and is typical among Mercedes’ closest competitors.
Safety
The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe hasn’t yet been crash-tested by either the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA), but the closely related 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV earned a Top Safety Pick+ designation from the IIHS and the 2023 model earned a 5-Star overall crash rating from the NHTSA.
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe is in the middle 26-75% for Cost to Own among all Luxury Mid-size SUV/Crossovers.
