Have owned this car two years and its the best car I've owned yet, previously owned BMW, Acura. The interior is gorgeous and comfortable. Taller people do need to watch when they get in the back, because of the shape of the car. Seems solid but acts like a sports car when you put it in either sports mode. I have had more compliments on the design/looks of this car than any other. Its a great car to take on long road trips and short town jaunts.

Better to buy next body style, cls55o, way nicer car. also very important to know that they have completely different engines, and hp way less less in 2006 model. so i would reccomend for a consumer to pass on cls500, and to purchase the cls 550!!!

Fun to drive
Noisy engine
This car is in mint condition it only had 13200 miles on it I rarely drive it, the engine is great the interior is amazing, overall great car.

Other than the shifter seizing up, I have had no issues with this car. Runs beautifully, super comfortable, and awesome looks.

Zero cons!
I absolutely LOVE this car. Sole driver. Rarely even allow "valet" to touch it. Purchased from single owner with merely 7,000 miles. Drives like a dream. Beautiful design. Exquisite Diamond White with Ash Grey interior. Stunning car. No smoking or food allowed ever in this car. I want to buy the new 2017 model. Same color interior as this is a very elegant color.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my 550CLS - It's Diamond White with light grey interior - Fabulous. Much more beautiful design than the new CLS550s. If the new 550CLS had similar lines, I'd buy another one. But instead will wait to see if they bring back the Sexy Look instead of the Bulky Look - bull nose design. Ideally suited for a female -- too sweet for a man unless he's little.
excellent style and drivability
Originally very expensive auto but worth the cost1
This car was an 'eye catcher' when it first appeared for sale in the USA in 2006. It became the first of the so called 4 door coupes (which became a much copied design and style). The car had the AMG package but was equipped with the 500 engine. To this day, the style and design still brings comments and garners many admirers. It had all the major options including adaptive cruise control and with the exception with a emission control element has been 'trouble free'.
Performance, styling, handling
Noisy blower fan
This is a classic from the front end to the rear. From a visual perspective it set the standard on design for many others who followed. The interior is small but roomy. Where the car shines is on performance...top end exceeds 160 and yet it corners like a racer and provides 27 MPG at 75 purring along at 1800 RPM. My car has never been driven in the snow, only been in the rain three times and has never been through a car wash. It is in a heated garage and gets detailed every 120 days,
