I purchased the car in 2005 and have been happily driving it for the past 10 years. I have enjoyed this car immensely. It still looks showroom new and still gets compliments all these years later. It has given me very few problems and is very well built. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone who enjoys driving a sexy convertible that drives well and looks great!

Overall I'm happy with my 2003 CLK320 Cabrio. The exterior styling is my favorite of all the CLK Class models. Interior design isn't as classy as an Infiniti. I owned a G20 prior and the reliability of the Infiniti was hands down better than the CLK. The CLK had a front wheel bearing blow out at about 70k miles. The windows started shuttering at about the same time. The winshield washer resevoir seals went bad and leaked all over. The total repair bill was over $1,500. Interior wood panel trim has started separating from the door panel, I owned my G20 from 79k miles to 155k miles and the only had to replace the starter at about 120k miles. Maintenance costs on the CLK are through the roof as well!! Doing my own oil changes is almost $100. Performance, styling and fun to drive is easily a 5. However, all things considered, while I thoroughly enjoy my convertible, I won't likely buy another Mercedes when it's time to trade. Just don't feel like Mercedes provides the overall LASTING quality one should expect for the price tag or necessary repair bills, whether new or used.

I absolutely love this car. It is my favorite car and my 4th Mercedes in over 20 years. It has been the most reliable car that I have owned. It is also, by far, the best car to drive.
Fun to frive
Premium gas and 25mpg on road
These are great touring cars with large trunks the load adjustment keeps front end down I have 160000 miles with only normal maintenance I do recommend summer tires
Fun to drive, very responsive
Hit or miss engines, interior will disintegrate
This car will stick you with minor (still expensive) and catastrophic problems if you don’t know what to look for. Be sure your M272 engine isn’t one of the Mercedes’ engines with the horrible curse of a balance shaft sprocket forgery impurity, like a lot of them were from this year. The car handles like new even with higher mileage, but too many electronic components mean too much over complication, and parts to break.

V8 model is a bit thirsty at 2021 gas prices.
The CLK Cabriolet is just the right size for metropolitan settings, with dimensions not too large like many modern luxury car. It just fits comfortably for any person or couple, and is one of the most versatile convertibles today. It seats four comfortably unlike many compact coupes, despite the small dimensions, and still looks fantastic for a night out for two. The chassis tracks straight, and steering and brakes are simply sublime and confidence-inspiring. It's not a sports car in a sense that it doesn't beg your for hard inputs, but it does reward in precise and very positive, predictable handling manners. I have the CLK500 with a bulletproof M113 V8 engine which still pulls silently and has been completely reliable to now, currently past the 150,000 mile mark. It isn't the most fuel efficient by today's standard, but what it offers in comfort, precision, driving pleasure, and reliability outweighs the thirsty nature.

Yes, the car is well over 10 years old, but I still love it and don't want a new one. It's everything I could want from a car: fun to drive, comfortable, extremely reliable, and its look has stood the test of time. No one believes me when I tell them it's a 2009. It may not have all of the sensors, bells and whistles that the new cars have, but you don't have to pay the repair bills when those sensors and other extras go out. It's reliable and for a luxury-brand car, I haven't had to spend much on repairs over the years. It hasn't lost any of its performance, and I haven't stopped loving it. If you want to buy a quality used luxury coupe for just a few thousand dollars, you can't go wrong with a well maintained CLK 350. If it's like mine, it will be as good now as it was when it originally sold for around $50,000 back in 2009.
