Positive Review
I have owned five Mazdas in my life & currently own a 2010 Tribute i-sport and a 2010 3 i-sport. Needless to say, Mazda is my vehicle of choice! They are built to last, they have NEVER let me down. The Tribute is comfortable, quick, stable and uncomplicated. The only complaints I have with this model is 1) the headlights were dim, purchased silverstar ultras & it was much better. 2) I would like to have an auto up switch for the driver window. IF YOUR LOOKING AT A FORD ESCAPE, STOP! This is an Escape without the hefty price tag. Great vehicle!
Critical Review
We had to replace the transmission after a week of ownership and again after 3 months. 2nd time we had to wait for the part and were told this is a common problem with the 2008 model.

2009 that ive owned since 2011...124000 miles and very little issues besides normal maintenance and wear and tear. Comfortable interior and great space even rear seats fold down flush and large items can fit similar to a truck bed.
150000 miles not dents runs good, the interior is good, no tears, wheels are in average shape all of the body is in good shape, runs good no loud sounds.
Very reliable and comfortable
Can't find any cons
Has been a nice car since I first bought it. Would recommend for a small family. Haven't had any major issues with car. I have owned this vehicle for a little over 2 years.
Super roomy and safe and easy driving

I had absolute faith every single time I got in this SUV that I would get to my destination safely and with no mechanical breakdowns, and this SUV did that for me 1000x over and go me through cancer treatments and a world of other things I cannot say how much I literally loved this SUV-sadly she may be totaled since some hit us they were at fault but thankfully my Tribute's 4 front air bags deployed saving mine and my daughters lives and I am forever grateful.
Good car
Great size, options and drivability
Could use more storage space
We recently bought a 2010 Tribute from a dealer in town, since my 2004 Prius (20k shy of hitting 250k) died unexpectedly one day. We were kind of backed against the wall with what the dealership would be able to finance for us, but have been pleasantly surprised! We were in the market for something this size any way, with a baby and a dog paired with the traveling that we do to see family in NJ numerous times a year. This SUV has been great so far. We bought it a week before we were driving out to MI for a wedding, and it was very comfortable for 3 adults and a baby, with room to spare. The trunk space is great, with plenty of room for a stroller, diaper bag and any other trip we might take out and about. Still getting used to having to fill my tank once a week, where in my Prius, I could get away with not filling it for almost a month (just going to and from work), but for its size and capacity, the mileage is actually not bad! We also lucked out because its fully loaded and we didnt need to pay extra for anything. I am happiest about the moonroof! Overall, extremely happy with our purchase! Actually looking forward to a New England winter for once... :)
Looks good
Runs terrible
I am shocked at all the good reviews because I go online to figure out a problem and so many people have the same problems and they are pulling their hair out like I have been. Problems are everywhere, inside interior, motor, brakes, air conditioning, steering and on and on and on. This is an F SUV.
Great value, reliable, low-maintenance, good MPG
Noisier at higher speeds, small v6, stiffer ride
We have owned two Mazda Tributes in the past 9 years. The first one was a 2001 and had 171000 on it before we lost it in a tragic rollover. (No major repairs the whole time we owned it since 63k miles). I only say tragic, because we lost the car, not the driver. My wife walked away with no injury and because of how well it faired, we bought a 2008 Tribute S model to replace it. Comparing the features with other vehicles, our fully loaded 2008 costs thousands less than comparable models with similar features. Performance is amazing in the winter snow! The 4wd and traction control work great. I recommend meaty tires for better winter/off-road performance. We avg about 21 mpg with the bigger tires and the 3.0 V6 pulls a light trailer with a couple dirt bikes nicely. Everything seems to have held up well over the last few years. The maintenance in the last 30 miles has been regular and no major issues have come up except a couple of recalls that the dealership took care of for free. New Suspension was recommended at 100k miles and has made it drive much better. It can be a bit noisier at freeway speeds than other similar models, but it doesn't bother us for the price. It's not as feature rich as some fully-loaded SUV's or can tow heavy, but it is surprising and reliable at the price point.
