Positive Review
I had a '96 Mazda Millenia that I bought used and loved. When I heard that Mazda was discontinuing the line, I bought a beautiful dark green Millenia S, one of the last ones made. This is not a car that you just drive, it's like you wear it. I get in my car and it seems to just take me where I want to go. I love the old boy!
Critical Review
Everything about this car is great except that the 2.3 supercharged engine is one of the worst engines made by Mazda (I heard 2.5 engine is not as problematic). I always have a check engine light. I have heard a lot of complaints from others too about this engine. All the mechanics I take the car to, hate this engine. If you have a simple check engine light, you might need to give up the car because the engine is so complicated that the mechanics cannot find the problems after charging you thousands of dollars. Every time I need to do a simple thing, they charge me a fortune because it takes hours to do that simple thing on this engine and almost all the parts are after the market parts so are two to four times more expensive than parts of other on market cars.

Looking to get at least 2500 for this car
Has some minor paint fading, but it is a 2001 car.
This car is all power, good a/c, this is the Japanese made model, not American...has been reliable to me.

Great price great comfort
In 2014 over 4,000.00 worth of repairs were done on this car at Oaktree Mazda Dealership in San Jose, Ca. Four new Chrome rims were put on the car in 2015. Four new tires were put on the car in 2016. In October of 2016 the air conditioning was overhauled. I have receipts for the repairs. The car runs great. Great power.
Good Looking, Smooth Drive, Luxurious
Very expensive parts, Very bad engine (2.3s)

pretty, comfortable, drove nice, reliable
price of gas, cost of repair and upkeep
This was my first car, and she held up wonderfully! I would probably still have her today if it wasn't for an oil leak that wasn't fixed right leading the engine to cease up (NOT Mazda's fault!) It drove great, looked very nice, was super comfy, and was good for the family. I drove a lot in this car and it held up a lot better than expected. I actually cried when I had to let her go. The only downsides is the price of gas (premium) and repairs (parts are on the expensive side).
Gorgeous, a joy to drive.
Millenia S is not as peppy as I would like.
