Positive Review
Was very impressed with this vehicle when I first looked at it. I own an Audi A6 and was purchasing this for my daughter. She drove other vehicles but once she drove the Mazda 6 she was done looking and I was glad. Very nice vehicle for the money and more importantly to me I liked the upgraded safety on the 2014 model. That got tested today as evidenced by the photo. Three teenage girls walked away with minor scratches after getting T-boned by a large 4X4 truck. Her replacement will be another Mazda 6.
Critical Review
Bought this car used. Worst idea ever.. Mazda cars are not a good vehicle. This car has not been reliable. Transmission is already slipping. Very expressive repairs. Find a different vehicle, and take this as a word of advice.

Car was awesome to me I had no problems with it . Until I got hit at a red light and the car got totaled and is no longer buyable. Just trying to get an idea of how much the car WAS when crashed .
GREAT car, best I have ever owned in the 60 years I have owned cars and trucks. Does everything well, and at the price point, simply unbeatable. Interiors are better than BMW or Cad and we checked both before buying this car.
Luxury feel without a luxury price, turbo is nice
None so far.
I upgraded to a 2018 Mazda 6 Signature and love it. The engine has such an awesome sound to it, and has a great sound system. The heated seats in the front and back are a nice touch, as well as the front ventilated seats. This car has a luxury feel, without a luxury price. Highly recommend!
Great design, fuel economy is good and overall performance is excellent. Interior is little bit noisy but it’s okay for me.
Good solid car that is well built and dependable
Rides low to the ground hard to get out of
This is a great car, I bought it cash money. In the summer on a trip, it gets 39MPG and around 30 to 31 in town. I bought it to give to my granddaughter when she finished high school and got her license, I got myself a 2016 Mazda CX 5 because I am 68 years old and overweight and it was hard for me to get out of due to my health conditions. We are at a time when almost all American car makers are making cars that they know are inferior and have problems with them. I would put this car up against a Toyoda any day. It rides good, drives great, and is a solid over all well-built car that is dependable.
Mazda's paint trim is beautiful to look at. To live with the paint is to endure chipping, flaking, and rust bubbles above the front windshield. This is the weakest point, bar none. I average 27 miles per gallon, even with a heavy club foot. With a full tank of gas, I get 365-400 miles of mixed city and highway. Although a four-cylinder turbo, it feels like a mighty six-cylinder engine beneath the bonnet. Others say the car will pace at 80-90 mph and return 25 mpg, sounds good to me. I have owned, or a family member who has owned and driven a 2005, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2019 Mazda 3 & 6, and every one of their front brakes warped prematurely. I finally asked the shop why. The response is that Mazda OEM rear brakes are smaller in diameter than the front brakes. Also, the leather trim on the steering wheel noticeably wears and dis-colors which is not something one would want to look at daily. If you opt for anything other than leather, the driver's seat eventually looks like it was singed with a hot iron. The factory tires are good. Over the years, my best experience with tires is Falken and Continental Tires. Both cases work as one with the suspension more seamlessly than any other brand. Germain Mazda Service has taken care of my family for years. Whatever the shortcoming that may come with the car, the care has stepped up in every regard. I am delighted with my own experience because they care and our knowledgeable. Bottomline, the Mazda 6 is not without its quirks, and clearly, there are areas that Mazda can improve upon, but I trust that they will do right by me because they have since 2005 to the present. I believe they will do the right thing in the previously mentioned areas concerning the paint finish, the seat, and the steering wheel. And if they don't, they cannot. Right. Sometimes they have limits too, just like you and I. I highly recommend the Mazda brand and Germain Mazda because they care about the experience of driving Mazda.
Exterior and Interiour styling and finish. Comfort
Limited dealer network. Discontinued
This car has been a true joy. It is very comfortable and is fun to drive. There has been no problems. The original equipment tires were garbage and the car rides and handles better since they were replaced. The interior and exterior finish are superior and I still get compliments on how it looks. It is a shame that Mazda discontinued this model rather than update and improve.
The best sedan I have ever owned to date, it gets 38 mpg on the open highway and has been maintenance free so far at 55,000
