Positive Review
I traded in my Ford Focus for this cute sporty new Mazda 2. The M2 gets better gas mpg than the sticker, at present Im getting 36.2 mpg in MIXED driving and the car isnt even broken in yet AND its still winter. The manual shifter action is straight out of the Miata ( I owned one so I know :) The handling is amazingly sporty for an economy car. Its loaded: pw, pl, pm, tilt, cruise, cd/mp3, trip comp, A/C...I got the Touring trim level which also came with alloy wheels, a spoiler and nicer seats. Seats are very comfy and attractive. The car does not have blue tooth, but I dont want or need it. It does not have navigation, but again I dont want or need that. What it does have is an amzing amount of content and quality motoring/sporty feel to it for about 16k, less if you get the Sport trim. I drove a Honda Fit awhile back and was not too impressed. Mazda is way more fun to drive and just as reliable, and not everyone owns one. I highly reccomend this car to anyone who doesnt want to spend alot but wants to get a sporty, fun, economy car that seats 4 comfortibly.
Critical Review
I bought my Mazda 2 in April on 2011 brand new. Within two weeks of me owning it, the seal around me entena leaked water into my car and onto my dash. Since then, I've also been through four fuel pumps, an air pump, and a traction control sensor. Not worth the money at all. The only good things I have to say about it is that it's a safe and economic vehicle, but not dependable.

Sure there's not a lot of elbow room, but it's been super reliable. We have towed it behind our 98 Winnebago Brave for a few years (tow dolly, not for flat towing) In a pinch you can fit four adults. Purchased it used with 40K miles in 2018. The AC is more than adequate for Texas summers ☀️
I never had such good small reliable car.Never had engine problem wheels are cheat..fits my budget 4 doors are good for grandchildern
fun ride, interior is gorgeous, no engine issues
small gas tank haha
amazing car. compact for sure but so fun to drive. gas is great! my only complaint would be the 8 gallon tank whcih is extremely small. despite my great miles, i still needed to fill up weekly. it rides like a go-kart, and the lower horsepower makes it such a unique ride! unfortunately i had to total this car after a rear end, but this car is such a statement car. i had no issues with anything. it drives so well, and the engine was never sluggish or overheating.
Comfortable seat, fun to drive, reliable.
A little road noise.
I am 5'4", and wanted a car that fit my body exactly. The Mazda 2 2013 Touring model is perfect for me. The seat back curves in and hugs the body. Plenty of adjustability for legroom. The steering wheel is adjustable as well, with controls for the stereo at your fingertips. Excellent gas mileage. Great maneuverability and you will easily fit in any parking space. I have owned the car 9 years and have had only one repair, and that was the motor mount from hitting too many potholes. This car is fun to drive and you feel almost like you were riding a motorcycle because it is so responsive. I hope I can keep it for many years to come.
Has speed, easy navigation
Compact
Great car! good on gas ⛽ reliable, excellent service and easy to drive and maneuver tight fit places.
fun to drive, manual, has good handling
noisier on highway
Great as a manual, good handling, enjoyable as a city driver, and can handle longer road trips. Good reliability over 50k+ miles and 10 years. Simple machine that drives well. Numb clutch but fun gear stick.
Sporty, small, outstanding reliability
Noisy cabin
My Mazda 2, Fang, has been all over the country and has preformed flawlessly. Great for cities and less parking issues. The performance is pretty good for a car in this class. The 1:1 torque to power ratio gives this Mazda 2 just the pep it needs. Maintenance is ridiculously easy, the whole car basically needs three sockets to take the whole thing apart. Gas gets about 30 mpg. This car was a great value and had excellent reliablity and for that I give it an excellent car rating.
Smooth, fun, --> RELIABLE <--
Not electric.
This car ran beautifully and reliably (still does). I had it about 4.5 years and never had a problem with it. I wanted a visible exterior because my previous grey car was totaled by someone who didn't see me, and I can tell you this car can't even hide behind a van because it glows! I've never before walked away from a car as reliable as this, but I can't justify a gasoline car anymore. If Mazda made an electric version of this, I'd be all set.
