Positive Review
We decided not to go with the Turbo AWD. At 73yrs old the standard mill has more than enough power .The comfort level is good along with the quiet ride. This the first fun car I've driven since my 1966 GTO.It handles the corners with ease not to mention the sport feature that boosts the cars acceleration. We are taking the new Mazda on a long road trip, looking forward to putting her through the paces !
Critical Review
The CX-30 Select is nicely styled and decent value, but right out of the box I had troubles with rattles and now with the Smart Brake system locking the brakes up in normal stop & go traffic. Dealer cant resolve as there is no error code in the system. Plenty of rattles after 2200 miles. Reviewing options but likely will make Mazda NA buy the vehicle back.

We just bought a 2022 Mazda CX-30 and are very happy with it! It is a very smooth ride with great handling and lots of personalizable settings and a comfortable interior in the premium package.
I am impressed by this car with such a reasonable price. - The body is well designed. - aIr has a great handling. - Very nimble in acceleration. - Feel safe and secure while driving. - And more importantly, in a combined driving cycle (30% highway, 70% in city(, I accurate measured it's mpg which is 30.3. much better than expected.
I wasn't even considering a Mazda until I test drove the CX-30 Turbo while checking out a promo—and I was blown away! As a former 2018 BMW X1 owner, I can confidently say the CX-30 Turbo matches or even surpasses it in many ways. The horsepower, responsiveness, and sheer fun of driving it are unmatched, especially at this price point. If you don't need a ton of space, do yourself a favor and take it for a test drive. You might be as surprised as I was!
I thought I found a good candidate for purchase from a local private seller. I tried asking if still available no reply. So,I tried making an appt. Got a strange msg from Autotrader to reply to appt. request. No response. Finally tried to contact Autotrader; 1(800) 3rd world, couldn’T understand what he was saying and what little he did make clear was NOT what I asked!!! Yeah I bought a car from a dealer despite Autotrader’s “help”. Useless exercise using this site. Will unsubscribe immediately after I finish this review. What are the odds this will be published.
Great power train and lots of nice features
a little small especially for tall drivers
Jody, online sales person for Cookeville of Hyundai, in Tennessee, got back to me right a way and got down to specific terms. Dealer fees seemed high to me, but we made a deal based on offered price of the car. Quick efficient straight forward dealing.
AWD, very good mpg, great handling, Fun to drive, upscale
Transmission can be wonky
It’s sporty, it’s handling is fantastic, it’s pickup is average spite feeling slower because of the AWD and slower in acceleration than the older CX-5 2016 we had before. But, it actually isn’t, it’s just much more stable and firm. The seats are comfy but Mazdas “Leatherette” seats look like fake leather. They get super hot in the sun but you quickly have little time to focus on the searing heat as it fades. The faux leather will hold heat and force sweat out of you. They are still comfortable seats otherwise. There’s soft touch materials covering everything which is really nice. The interior is very good looking and upscale compared to well, every other compact SUV on the market. These Mazdas have the nicest interiors , arguable better than Kia, Hyundai, Honda and even Mercedes in certain guises, when choosing the mid to top tier options. The ride quality is on the firmer side but well balanced and solid feeling. The transmission imo seems off. It struggles to find gears and seems sloppy as it goes through all five of six gears. The transmission may need flashed or perhaps it’s just the way it is. If so, then it’s worse than the other ones we’ve owned on the past. Four total. Overall, the absolute best bang for your buck in a crowded segment and a ton of Kia Hyandai owners, going more upscale with looks and interior along with really good handling and maneuverability, Mazda in any model will appoint you with specialness and slap A smile on your face while driving it, all while undercutting the competitors in prices is a recipe for something great.
EVERYTHING!
NONE!

Fun to drive and stylish
Poor reliability and warranty
I've done an oil change in a 3rd party service center and they've found out that my left rear suspension is leaking. They've advised to check with the dealer for warranty before they'll offer to fix it. I have a 2021 Mazda CX 30 that's still within the 3 year warranty. I went to the dealer and they've verified the leak however they won't cover it since it's only 25% leaking. Their warranty will cover if it's more than 50% leak. It's like saying that they know it's broken but they will not fix it because it's not broken enough. I told them about safety concern for me and my family but they just gave me some sugar coated excuses. My warranty will expire 2 months from now and their ridiculous advice was to schedule an early oil change before the warranty expire and maybe the suspension is broken enough for them to fix it. No guarantees. Now, I'll be spending out of pocket expense because their warranty is very poor. I love everything about the car and even advocated it to friends and family. But after this horrible experience, this will be our last Mazda vehicle.
