Positive Review
I have had my car for a little less than a year...coming from corvettes, i had to make myself not compare these two cars. There is no comparison! If you want power and speed, you'll prefer the vette with more bells and whistles. The lotus Evora is a great handling, pure sports car but an affordable one when you compare the price of the Audi R8 or Nissan GTR for example. I am disappointed at a lot of small things that to me were just QC issues, i've had it at the dealer to fix many little things but nothing major at all. The power is pretty good considering the fact that it doesn't weigh much. I have the IPS car with sport mode and i love the sound it puts out. My car is loaded with tech pack and sport pack and the premium pack and the larger wheels. The braking system is excellent, the rev matching when coming to a stop is a little annoying to me..i don't like the loudness and the jerky feel of the downshifting. The cornering is fab, the car hugs the road beautifully. The seats are comfy. I have no backseat but didn't want the useless backseat. Front cockpit is roomy and comfy. My stock stereo (pioneer) with the upgraded tech pack is amazing! i'm in love with that sound system. The lines and curves on the exterior are beyond stunning. You don't see much out the back hatch window so you have to use your side mirrors often. Over all, it's a great car...generates a ton of looks, and you'll be a member of a very small club as there are not many in the USA. It's nice to be exclusive...i love the fact that it's hand built too. However, bang for the buck...i gotta say i'm going to get another vette, the new Z06. I like bells and whistles and refinement...the evora is more refined than the Elise or Exige but not the vette. I love the evora though but won't buy another one after this one..
Critical Review
Based on what I paid, the power is a little lacking. At $84k, the 4.9 sec 0-60 is underwhelming. Even worse, the S upgrade only takes the 0-60 time down by .3 seconds to 4.6 seconds. Anyway, the car has not held up as well as it should in the 18 months I've owned the car. I have had it in the shop about 6 times now for various fit and finish issues, and one major issue, which involved changing out the entire clutch, which took over 4 weeks to complete. It seems Lotus is very slow at providing parts to their US dealers for repairs. Yes the handling is superb, but there is more to this car than just that. Otherwise, I could spend 1/3 the money and gotten myself an Elise for ~30k. This is a true luxury automobile with a very comfortable, quiet ride and motor. I just wished the quality lived up to the price. From a value standpoint, this is the kind of car that must steal your heart in order to steal your wallet.

Its a race car for the street or track
mpg isn't the best, but it's fun driving.
Last of the true Lotus drivers car, raw and ready. 2020~2021 were the only years the Lotus Evora GT was made and sold in the US market, it is like the best of the Evora series with all the best parts taken to make one super car! coming for an Elise, this feels much the same but with more power and prowess. The supercharges gives a constant linear feel, so you can count on the power when needed, no surging or ramping up, just always there and ready. If you get a chance to own any series Evora you are lucky and if able get the GT!
primitive, analog, direct, and pure. One of the best sounding 6cylinders out there! get the manual!
Looks,performance and price
Small water leak at a pillar during high pressure
Fantastic car to drive and to own. Can’t go anywhere without someone wanting to know about this far. Better ride than I expected
great driving fun and great emotions
no one
this is the best sports car for the price, but not only the price, the Lotus is very reliable, very attractive, more than any BMW or Porsche, best sound, better than Lamborgini Huracan, great design, and suitable for everyday use, such a car will not sold, such a car is driven, fun factor, very very great, is like a Go Cart on the street, just fantastic but not hard, well comfortable
looks, performance, reliability, a joy to drive.
Tiny dealer network
Get this out of the way: I love this car. It's a joy to drive even in slow going. It has been reliable, tight, and easy to live with. Want something special without the pain and expense of owning and actually driving the average exotic? This car is for you.
Unique, fun to drive at any speed
Back seat really just for storage.
Very unique, great ride without being punishing, you'll stand out in the crowd of Porsche's and Corvettes. Incredible steering feedback and a chassis that rivals any super-car. Great car for weekend fun or occasional tracking.
Fun to drive, handling, reliability, looks
could be a tad bit faster
I regret selling my evora so much. I had it for 4 years and literally didn't spend a dime outside regular maintenance. Even you get in the drivers seat of one it will be hard to drive any other car in the same price category
Great handling and fun to drive
radio is not the best
The Lotus Evora is one of the last hand made vehicles in the world. Lotus has a reputation of being a light performance car for the street and track. This car is the fastest Lotus yet 400 hp and 305 torque with a Toyota v-6 supercharged engine for reliability. This car drives better and handles better than my Porsche 911. It has also been more reliable than the 911 (electrical problems). The radio is not great in the Lotus but the navigation is accurate and I would much rather hear the sound of the engine. Lotus only makes a small amount of vehicles per year which also makes them special. I have had Porsches for 30 years and the Evora is better than the Porsche and more fun to drive due to not having computers take over or electric steering. Lotus still uses Hydraulic steering and gives instant drivers feedback. If you are looking for a true sports car that has handling, feedback and style then You will like the new Lotus. If you are looking for an executive car that is expensive to maintain then buy the Porsche.
