Positive Review
Regardless of KKB valuation, this baby is worth SO MUCH MORE. It's NOT a mountain car unless the snow has thawed. Otherwise, what a cruise-mobile.
Critical Review
1996 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series. Silver ext./Gray int.?. 98,000 mi.. Hopefully my disappointing experience with this car is isolated/rare. Soon after we received it, with approx 85,000 mi. on it the trouble began mechanically. Here is a semi-sequential list. Front "toner"? ring drivers side. Shortly thereafter-front "toner" ring pssgr. side. Hood ornament replacement. Leak around thermostat housing. fan clutch failure. Poor radio antenna connection in trunk. Pssgr. front window regulator failure. Shortly after, drivers front window regulator failure. Not too long after, pssgr. window regulator failure again. Some AC/Heat/Vent related, actuator door thing in the dash clicking/failing. AC freon leak. Muffler hanger repl.. Rear Air Suspension bag failure/leakage. I chose the conversion kit, it works, but slight ride quality diminishment. The air ride/self leveling suspension was one of the nice features of the car along with the interior size, since I'm reasonably tall.. approx. 6'5". The rear seat room can't be beat. However, the front seats seem poorly shaped/semi uncomfortable. The exterior is nice as well. Now the intake manifold is cracked, which I've learned is not uncommon on these 4.6 L. egines. It has been difficult for me to swallow that they would put a Polymer type plastic intake manifold, on a "luxury car" such as the Lincoln Town Car. Even though there have been multiple of these failures I'm told, there has been no recall on this fairly expensive item replacement, at least for my year. Go figure.. Or better yet, maybe the designers at Lincoln need to go figure! Also some hose..Heater to intake manifold?..I think blew completely out, thankfully, as I was pulling in the driveway. Guess what? I'm told that in order to replace this approx. $50 hose, the intake manifold I'm told has to be removed anyway...in my case a potential blessing, since the intake manifold needs replacing anyway..a kill two birds with one stone type deal. Needless to say, the car has been sitting for a while, which probably won't help matters with it either. I'll end with that "saving grace". Believe it or not, I have actually left out a few things. I am middle aged, and tried to maintain this car as well as any other car I've owned, but to my disappointment. I am not intentionally denegrating this car for any reason. I'm simply sharing my experience, which need I say has not been good. Again, hopefully my experience has been isolated. If you buy one, hope for the best, but go in with your eyes open. In this instance, unless you are a monetarily affluent person, who is unconcerned with repair bills, I strongly suggest having the car inspected by a reputable mechanic before purchasing. Written with love.

Strong 4.6L V8, Comfort, Styling, Reliability
Poor City Gas Mileage, Not A Fast Vehicle
Love my '92 Town Car. Built strong and built to last forever if taken care of and maintained. Driven 2-3 times per week, it's a reliable and classy vehicle that you can count on to get you where you need to go.
Comfortable, Quiet, Reliable, Roomy
Big & heavy, bad turning radius
Found it with 84k original miles. I love this thing. It's not a hotrod, but it has plenty power to do anything you need to do in a luxury car. It's such a smooth and quiet ride, and doest handle bad for such a large and heavy vehicle. I plan to own mine for a very long time.
This car has always been garaged and seldom driven in bad weather. It rides like a cloud, is very roomy and luxurious. It was owned by my late husband, but we usually used my car for quick trips around town and only drove his car on special occasions. It is old, but the driver's seat has been re-upholstered in the white leather of the original; has a new battery and comes with a charger, as prolonged lack of use tends to wear down the battery. The maroon floor carpeting looks brand new. I think it is time to yet a younger person enjoy this beautiful vehicle.
Comfy, cool, and lots of space
Doesn’t handle all that well, slow
This is all around a great car. Comfortable, good looking, and has one of the best looking interiors I’ve ever seen. Obviously it’s not very fast but if you like working on cars you can make some power out of the 4.6. Will probably buy another one if I outlive this one.
Real luxury, Overall great car
Lots of little things can go bad.
So I bought a 1997 Presidential Series town car from a little car lot for $5,000 cash in like 2003 or so, I saw it was burgundy with a white top, so I had to get it. There was only one previous owner and they had paid nearly $70,000 for it just a few years before that, so it declined in value quickly for some reason. But that was my gain. I, to this day, have not ever driven or even rode in a more comfortable car. I mean it really felt like you were floating on clouds down the freeway. With all the features and the quality of this vehicle I was very lucky to get to own this and use it for my daily driver. When I bought the car it had 55,000 miles on it and it drove great until somewhere around 130,000 miles and the heater core needed replaced, so I fixed it, then electrical issues started popping up here and there, and the air shocks went out, so I sold it for $900, with bad air shocks, and to this day I still kind of wish I never did...
A real conversation piece
Runs smooth. Can't hear the cars engine while runn
I bought this car a week ago. I'll say this, with 151,000 miles this car purrs like a kitten. My 2010, 2008 does run like 1994. I'll be putting antique plates on it. Once the. The title comes back. Best Town Car by far!
Get to your destination for sure
Need some touch ups
Overall good car , door panel needs to be replaced , electrical problem going on. That’s the only major thing going on with vehicle is electrical work needs to be done , especially on sun roof , no A/C
Grate car
