Critical Review
I leased my Navigator in Sept 2000. After the lease was up I bought out the lease and took out a short term loan to finish paying it off. It was fairly reliable during most of its lifetime. The notable exception are: 1) Right front tie rod broke about at roughly 60k miles. I was 40 miles from home. Fixed under warranty and I had a loaner car. 2) Left front tie rod broke around 85k miles - I was about 8 miles from home. Also under warranty (I had the 100k mile waranty) 3) Transmission went about a year after the warranty was over (it was about 7 or 8 years old) - cost $2500. Other than that it was a pretty solid performer until... just recently my son said that it had some issues. At one point he lost the brakes and had to have it towed. Yes, the brake lines were gone but as they put it up on the lift, they said the ENTIRE FRAME WAS ROTTED OUT. A 12.5 year old vehicle with the FRAME 100% ROTTED OUT !!! Can you imagine that? I called Lincoln - they were apologetic but would do NOTHING. So I'm going to haul it home and put a HUGE SIGN about it warning people about this!!!

Spacious, luxury drivr & smooth ride.
Doesn't sip gas!
Never any problems from my 2002 but is only driven on weekends.
Great price, reliable, and comfortable
Needs a little TLC
$1200 OBO Low cost reliable vehicle. Most maintenance receipts kept.
Easy to drive, safe and solid feeling, comfortable
Needs cosmetic work on red trim, dash.
124,000 actual miles. Previous owner had lower panels painted red which needs repainted. Small front corner passenger side dent. Interior dash needs cosmetic repair. Front leather bucket seats are covered due to usual wear and tear. Interior is light beige color. Engine in excellent condition, well maintained, AC recently recharged, 4 new tires, has 3 rows of seating with 3rd row folding down. Travels over the road in comfort, lots of space and storage and lighting, stays cool in back with AC. Solid ride.
Quality full sized luxury SUV
Gas milage
Purchased 2003 with 75,000 miles from first owner. Well 13yrs and 178k later it is my family's favorite vehicle. Very roomy and comfortable. Great for long trips or around town. Powerful V8 engine is awesome. Beautiful exterior. VERY dependable. Only minor AC problem 8yrs ago that's it!!!! The engine is so smooth its ridiculous. I am somewhat mechanical so I have changed brake pads, front rotors, shocks and spark plugs as well as a few other things. Hands down our favorite vehicle. Quality is comparable to our BMW 528i. Nothing more to say but if any major part breaks I will simply have it replaced and continue owning this incredible vehicle.
Classic Styling, Perfect Size, RELIABLE work-horse
Fuel Economy 12-18mpg
This has, hands-down, been one of the best vehicles we've ever owned. We purchased our 2000 Nav back in 2010 with 90k miles to use as a spare family vehicle (it replaced a Suburban). We expected to own it for only a few years, but now plan to keep it for much longer. This car never seems to let you down. It has been on long distance trips all over the country and tows like a champ. It still looks great for its age and has plenty of creature comforts to keep everyone happy. We currently own newer Porsche SUVS (2), an Audi, a Lexus SUV and a BMW and yet family members seem to find excuses to drive the old Lincoln instead! It is surprisingly very easy/good on tires and brakes and oil changes are very cheap, even at the dealership ($40). We've talked about replacing it with a newer model Navigator, but can't seem to ever let this one go, it's that good! Do yourself a favor and find a well cared for used Navigator. Thank you Lincoln!
