"Refined Reliable Comfort"

Recently I purchased a 2024 RX 350. After owing a 2013, only another Lexus would do. I’m one of those people that don’t like to spend a bunch of money keeping my car running nor do I want to have the car in the shop. I love the new turbo engine! This SUV has great acceleration and handles amazing. There are too many things to list that I like about the car except I must say I love the color iridium! Stop thinking about getting one and buy one! There are so many versions there’s one for everybody.

Critical Review

"Not safe to drive!"

I bought this SUV brand new last November. It has 6,100 miles now. A total of 4 times it switched from "driving" to "neutral" by itself while I was in traffic. Every time it happens, I am panicking when many cars behind me starts signaling. Horrible experience and very dangerous. Trunk doesn't close by pushing buttons. You have to manually close it using a lot of force. You cannot open the trunk from inside of the vehicle by pressing the button either. Sometimes I cannot open the trunk at all and only shutting down the engine and restarting it helped. Radio shuts down very often. Vehicle keeps asking me to connect it to my apple phone (very frequently). Dealership cannot duplicate gear shifting, radio, phone. Originally service manager told me they didn't find any problems with my SUV. Only after he watched the video that I made as a proof about trunk he agreed to change the sensor on the trunk. ??????? New car should not have so many problems.

Lexus RX350 best mid-size luxury SUV
Pros

Comfortable seats. Lexus luxury.

Cons

MY23 design had the washer fluid nozzles on the wiper blades. Not good.

There’s not a better luxury SUB. In 2012, I drove the Lexus IS. Took it to dealership for maintenance, and the loaner vehicle provided to me was the RX350. Love at first drive. 1 month later, I traded in my IS for the RX350 and I haven’t owned or driven anything else since. Every 3 years, I lease the newest version. No matter the model year, the front seats remain the top selling point for me. Ultimate comfort. A+ for Lexus design.

Luxury car with all the bells and whistles. Comfortable ride that is great for long trips or a day at the beach.

Best Value Luxury SUV

I have a 2024 350 RX AWD Hybrid--price is same as gas when you account for AWD is standard on any hybrid. My vehicle is very quiet, get 40 plus mpg in town and 35-38 highway driving. The quality and workmanship is excellent. HUD has a learning curve is only negative.

Design and Quality Issues
Pros

Technology

Cons

Quality, Design, Technology Difficulty

Let me start by saying this vehicle is not attractive by any stretch of the imagination. Just look at Lexus' grills, what is going on with their designers?! Second, I've had several of them and leather is so thin in the vehicle after 5 years, the leather rips and isn't well made or just of cheap quality. The dashboard was cracking with the foam exposed. The paint is cheap and fades quickly, within 4-5 years of consistent polishing/waxing. The odd thing about many Lexus' they feel light, the doors sound tinny when you close them and this newest RX, the technology is buried within multiple menus and often confusing. Does Lexus expect me to continue purchasing these poorly made vehicles? If you wonder why you pay less for a Lexus than a German vehicle, wonder no more—you absolutely get what you pay for. Many of the poor reviews below, show the quality and reliability of early 90's Lexus' is disappearing. They're being made with less and less quality and the latest engine issues are starting to show the cracks with Toyota/Lexus.

Lexus kept the RX DNA alive.
Pros

Soft, quiet ride, decent amount of torque, great styling, reliable

Cons

Too low awkward wireless phone charger, brakes could have more bite, walk away locking hatch button feature doesn’t always work

Lexus has always been about luxury, quiet and reliable cars with excellent customer service. That hasn’t changed in their 34 year history. The RX350 is quiet, smooth, had excellent fit and finish and offers a better value than German brands. It has a soft not great handling ride that makes you feel relaxed, lots of rear seat legroom for adults and peppy acceleration, not fast but plenty quick for the average Lexus buyer. Brakes are a tad mushy. It’s not for people who want a sporty SUV. Great car as always, Lexus did it again.

Disapointed
Pros

Reliability

Cons

Extremly difficult to use controls

Needs a V6. Motor is noisy and enemic. Extremly unfriendly controls. Our 22 GT4 and 23 C8 are much easier to use. I want my 2015 GS 350 back. Your designers are going in the wrong direction. And who's idea was to put ugly black wheels an a luxury SUV. They make it look cheap! The only reason we bought it is because my wife liked the color. Buying this vehicle was a big mistake.
