Positive Review
I owned a Land Crusier prior to purchasing my first LX470. I currently own my third LX 470 so since 1999 I have driving the same platform built by Toyota/Lexus. I have been looking for my fourth LX 470 replacement in the used market but just can't find a low mileage 2007/08 model year. This vehicle is so versatile it has been comfortable performing in every role I have asked of it over 16 years. I just can't love this truck enough- it is an awesome luxury vehicle, daily driver, 1000 mile + road trips with the family loaded down, towing 5-6000 lbs trailers, regularly hauling materials out the tailgate, 4 wheeling in the mountains or beach, comfortable for 6-8 adults and children, great foul weather vehicle. There is no roll this vehicle has not stepped up to perform for me over the years. If you complete your regular maintenance even as she gets older this car will never let you down while on the road. It is so reliable I am passing my second one with over 200k miles and never have had a warranty issue other than normal scheduled maintenance up until recently at 190k I had to have an air sensor an my speedo fixed. Most people think the car is only a few years old because the paint on these cars is flawless if maintained and the interior wears fantastically again if you maintain your vehicle properly. I wish I could get another one exactly like the one I own. I am not certain I like the styling and specs of the new 570 platform so I am in a wait and see on the decision to replace my current LX.
Critical Review
This has been a wonderful SUV! My husband commuting for 4 years and put a lot of miles on it. We had a new transmission several years ago. He can no longer drive so we are selling it. It has been well maintained.

Smooth ride ,great 4x4 , hydraulic shocks, hydraulic lift, automatic trans, heated seats, must see to Appreciate
Toyota reliability, solid road car, easy to handle
Gas mileage but with all the pros who cares
Bought my 2000 lx with 32k now has 333k still rock solid , quiet, capable 4 wheel drive go anywhere any weather with confidence and luxury, just can’t seem to wear it out!!
DRIVES LIKE A SPORTS CAR GREAT ENGINE RESPONSE .
car drives well in town driving. CAR HANDLES EXCELLENT FOR ON THE ROAD DRIVING. ENGINE HAS A LOT OF POWER FOR PASSING AND SUDDEN PERFORMANCE DEMANDS
Solid, utility applications are endless.
Gas mileage (oh well), remember it is heavy.
This rig is family ready or off road capable as the most universal, high quality SUV on the market. Engine is a 4.7 V8, which goes to many, many miles and suspension is all wheel drive so you will have to work hard to get it stuck. Only drawback, echoes the complaint of many, is the gas mileage but keep in mind when you have this Toyota quality (yes they make Lexus as their High End), and on/off road capabilities, there are sacrifices to make all of these great things work. Solid car that holds it market and utility value.
Vehicle has been serviced by dealership regularly. Carfax available.

I love this car. I love it so much I bought a 2016 LX for my wife....and we ended up selling the 2016 LX about 6 months later because we both didn’t want to get rid of our 2007 LX! This car is incredibly reliable, strong and the drive is like no other. So smooth. I’ve received multiple unsolicited offers for my car and there’s no chance I’m giving it up. Ever. These cars are becoming more and more difficult to find so if you have one, hold on to it! The new LX is nice...but it’s just not the same as this model year. It’s the perfect blend of luxury on the inside and truck on the outside. If you own one, you know what I’m talking about. These things are incredible! Best car ever engineered!
Every thing
Wind noise?
The Rolls Royce of SUVs , No better. Lexus could not have made money on this car This is a tank The ride is the next thing to flying on the highway I went to do an oil change, the guy at jeffy lube did it without checking the mileage . After he was done, he went to check the odometer and gave a big shout. He said the SUV looked new underneath and was very surprised at the high mileage
