Positive Review
Best SUV for winter locking differecial bring you anywhere you want to go at any weather condition I own in for 15 years and beside maintenance never had a problem
Critical Review
This SUV feels heavy when trying to get up to speed, the engine sounds like it struggles. While there is a lot of room the SUV´s suspension is a little stiff. It´s reliable but has horrible gas consumption.

This car has spent its long life in Florida and has no discernible rust or corrosion. Rides and handels very well. Slight oil leak from oil pan. Interior front leather seats are very worn and have a canvas seat covers. Easy fix with leather seat covers. Exterior could use a thorough wax and buff. Vehicle has a very cool 3 person tent on top made by Tuff Stuff with an awning and retails for $1,300-2,300. Interior has numerous electrical and USB wires for tent lighting and sound which owner installed himself. Also features a 1000 watt DeWalt power inverter and a Uniden Radar Detector. When in Kenya, East Africa in the 90's I saw many Land Cruisers with 1,000,000 miles on them. they rebuild every 175-200,000 miles there. Straight six is one of the best EVER! Perfect project for a Land Cruiser lover!
snow, wet, etc... she is ready to go !
she has some miles ~258k - and her rear fender...
She has been there and alway has come through. We are purchasing another car , and it is time to let her go.
My car need timing belt and nothing else but not working until that fixed.
Big engine, RELIABLE, keeps running, FUN TO DRIVE.
On the slower side of acceleration.
My dad first bought this car for me on my 16th birthday, and im now almost 18. This car is so great. Anything from off roading, to steap hillsides, to LOTS of highway driving. I wish they made newer ones, I'd SO buy it! I've had no problems what-so-ever with the engine. I was though, unaware that the oil had to be changed every so miles... oops! Love this car so much!!
I like the vehicle but, we have many cars
200000 miles never had a problem
Is lil thirsty lol

Best overall suv on road or offroad, my hobby takes me to no man's land and so does my LX_450 the most reliable vehicle you can own to go to remote areas, were your life depends on your vehicle bringing you back! Gas does not matter to me since I only use my vehicle for adventure!
Bought it used with 150k and have never had any problems with it. I was debating between the Land Cruiser/LX450 or a Range Rover. Although more expensive to buy upfront, the overall ownership costs are lower than other same class luxury SUVs like Range Rover. I also have to say that I really don't understand people complaining on here about the MPG rating of this vehicle. The EPA rated it as 13 MPG city and 15 highway. You should have expected to get that mileage. If your MPG are within that range then I think you have no right to complain.
