Positive Review
Absolutely fantastic car, the IS500's V8 brings joy to the driving experience, and pushing the throttle any amount is rewarded with an amazing sound. Very comfortable when not being pushed and can be reasonable on gas getting 26-28 mpg on the freeway and low traffic backroads. When being pushed the enjoy roars to life, the handling can be very fun and playful even with traction control on and the engine brings the whole driving experience together. However, the car does not have as good handling as some German competitors in its class, the engine shines through its flaws and makes it a far more entertaining, livable, and less boring car than its sterile German counterparts. Additionally the reliability and build quality make it far easier to push this car and not worry about something breaking or being left stranded somewhere. The V8 in the IS is one of the best V8s ever made, get it while you can! These will hold their value much better than anything else in the class.
Critical Review
No more v6 engine. No more of these cars being made. They are old news cars that turned into outdated. Because of these reasons, the auto value of these cars are dropping. Your 42k buying this car is gone. Today it's easily a 10k value drop on your trade in value. Not worth buying because vehicles now are becoming hybrid, to electric. I'm actually trying to figure out how to trade this car in.

Engine sound, comfort, reliability
Ot a full F car
Driving a dream! OK, it's not a full F car like the RC F, but unless you're at the track does it really matter? The handling is great, its a comfortable daily driver with a usable back seat if you need it, and the sound! The glorious sound of that NA V8! It makes me smile every time I drive it. On top of it all, you get Lexus reliability. BMW M3 drivers may beat me in a drag race, but so what? Ill be driving while they're in the shop, and I'll still be driving when their car is kaput.
Fun, fun, fun
None
I've been driving SUVs for a long time so it's been great to enjoy a fun car again. Some complain that the IS has been using the same transmission and engine for too long. I celebrate it. This is a quality car that you can rely on. Performance is great. Comfort is great for a small, sporty feeling cabin. I was comparing it to an Acura TSX Type S. I am so glad I went with the IS 350 f sport. Love this car!
Relability
The awful sulfur smell in the cabin when you execrate the car
I bought this car new in 2021 and a few months later it began to have sulfur smell. I took it to the dealer numerous times but they keep saying their is nothing wrong with the car. Lexus customer service did nothing and will not do anything for me even though their is a bulletin stating this is a problem with the car. The Sulfur smell is getting worse and worse... It smells like rotten eggs when you accelerate
Reliability
Power
Ive had it for 6 months, no problem whats so ever.
Looks, reliability, ride, handling!
Small back seat
The IS 350 with a V6 is a dying breed, but still a great one, nonetheless. Don't let the uneducated reviews fool you (like the 1-star review on KBB that's totally misinformed and unnecessary). Consider this fact, it only dropped 20% of its original value in 3 years (find me another sports sedan with those stats)! I'm happy to keep a '21 model (original price $48K) that trades at $35-36K and retails at $38-39! This car is so smooth and solid, and I use it a daily driver. It's just fast enough without getting you in trouble with the law. And in INFRARED color, it also turns heads. I know the alleged electric revolution is coming (someday), but until it does, I'm going to enjoy this purpose-built sports sedan each and every day. This one is a keeper!
Solid performance for vehicle’s price point. The quality and guest first treatment can’t be beat. Love Lexus!
Really sinister looking
Loud road noise and no trunk space
For $50k+ the car has very loud road noise. Like, as much as a 1993 Subaru. There is no door jam seals a they get dirty, like real dirty. Very disappointed with that. Gets about 22-25 mpg around town so that’s good. I’m only 5’10 and my knees are into the dash board, bogus…. Gets around great in snow, another plus…. Traction control disabled says it’s off when the button is pressed, still doesn’t let you do AWD reverse broadies in parking lots. In performance mode it does shift right at 7,000 rpm and since you can basically hear every rock in the pavement you obviously can hear the engine noise screaming which is good.
Comfortable| Great Sound | Reliability | Paint
Slower Transmission | Poor Stock Tires
