Positive Review
Lexus makes the JDPowers top list all the time for few repairs, but they discourage and give you a hard time to correct a problem if it costs too much. My Lexus had 14M when I showed my dealer that that coating on all 4 wheels looked like the coating was getting thin and was spotty. Very noticeable. Pictures were then sent to Lexus for review. After about 4 weeks, Lexus informed me that they would not repair or replace them. I am retired and take excellent care of my car. It doesn't take any Einstein to figure out that it was a defect in material or workmanship! It's always nice when you don't have to deal with issues like this one.
Critical Review
I have never been more disappointed in a car. I have owned Lexus' for 15 years and always told people how great they are. This model gets terrible gas mileage--rated at 40 and I get 29 always driving in ECO mode--the seats are the most uncomfortable seats in any car I have ever owned and the cabin noise is amazingly loud. I have had the car in many times to service to fix the problems--but I'm told there are no problems, this is the way it is supposed to work. Add to that the design interior feels cheap and flimsy and the exterior design is a big bland blah. Why did I buy it --15 years of loving my other Lexuses. Never again.

We have really enjoyed this car. We have kept it serviced at the dealer and have never had any trouble. It has a brand new battery installed recently and a set of 4 brand new tires. The leather interior is just like new. The only reason we are selling this car is that I no longer drive and we don't need two cars so we, my husband and, I are keeping the newest one.
Immaculate condition. Drives like and looks like a new vehicle. Smooth quite ride. Excellent features with the lux pkgs. Can't think of anything else that this one needs. If you did not know it was 12 years old you would think it was new.
I never thought I could afford a Lexus, but I got a great deal on this one. It rides so smoothly and handles like a dream. Lexus is one of the top makes and if you find a good one, jump on it!
great gas milage and reliability
small trunk due to Hybrid battery
It has 160,000 miles and going strong. Daily work car, average 36MPG now. It was at 38/39 when it was new. Bought is used for under $30K when it was 2 yrs. old with 20k miles on it. Have only changed oil and tires. Runs great. Interior is still looking new. I am going to get a paint job on the exterior. It has a lot of chips in the front. It is not a sports car, but it has spunk. The only downfall is the trunk space (has the Hybrid battery). They changed in the newer years.
Bought my 2014 Lexus 300h in March 2014. It will be 10 years old this March. The only extra cost aside from tires, wiper blades and oil changes was the regular non-hybrid battery replacement at over 6 years of ownership. I still love its comfortable ride and quiet cabin and smooth handling. I'd give it 6 stars!
Everything
None
Only 23K miles, No dents, scratches, tears NOTHING! Showroom Condition. Exceptionally maintained. Oil and filters changed every 3K miles. Old school owner.
See my review. Everything is excellent.
Cost in 2017 was $54,500.
This model, reportedly only 500 are built each year, is difficult to find when new or used. I waited 3 years for mine. I'll put in words to wet your appetite. Quiet. No wind noise, a little tire noise. No engine noise. Automatic rear screen (doubles as a reducer of night headlights. Also has screens on the other four rear seat windows. Mark Levison system is like a home theater. And if you are in Park, just insert a CD with a concert video, and you see and hear the performance loud - you bet! High Speed Cruise really is a plus on my regular Nashville - Atlanta drives. When driving in cruise at 68 mph I regularly get 34-35 mpg. Panorama roof is two moon roofs - one in front and one in back. The front one opens. Front seats are heated and cooled leather. 10-way power seats on both front seats. 3-way memory for seat positions. Weather Channel on the Levison system. Live radar! Yes. Picture changes about every 10 minutes. Weather forecasts for many USA cities. Plus spend a little more and get a detailed map for a smaller area - any traveling salespeople here? Drivers seat extends 3 inches out in case you have long legs. Real wood steering wheel and interior trim. To be honest here - Lexus puts every option or package into this Ultra Lux as a given. Every one. Even the ones you never heard of. Such as - when you are making a looooooong drive and you don't stop and rest, the dash will show you a message saying "It's time for a break - go take a rest" So this is the 2017 Lexus ES 350 Ultra Lux. I love mine. Wife loves it also. It's all about Luxury, but as the comments will tell you, it will get up and move in a hurry if that's what you occasionally need.
Reliable, Low cost maintenance, comfortable
Styling in relation to competitors
This is my second Lexus ES. The first ES that I owned is a 2010 ES, which I still own. These cars are the best seller for a reason. They are very reliable, low maintenance and comfortable. Also, there is no better service than you get from that of Lexus.
