Positive Review
I would consider this a step up from a Prius. I almost bought a Honda Insight, but liked this much more. Much more "connected" suspension than a Prius or Insight, very reasonably priced, considering it's a Lexus. Lots of standard equipment - the NAV is a must in my book - without it, the dash looks dated because of the old style radio they give you. Very connected with iPods - you can play your iPod via Bluetooth or the included dock connection. Milage is great, the "Sport" mode is very peppy, but I traded in a BMW M3, so this is a big shock on performance. The suspension is softer than the M3, but not mushy - a better compromise than the BMW provided. Has the look of a European 1 Series Hatchback (not imported to the US). I REALLY wanted another BMW, but they don't offer anything like this in the USA. Gas prices keep going up - this thing takes regular gas, and I'm getting 43 MPG (observed). It's not huge, but it can haul groceries or kids stuff with ease. I love it so far!
Critical Review
Bought this for my Mom. First, the Lexus name is what sold Mom on wanting this car. My husband, 5 foot 10 was not able to fit in the back seat. Because of the batteries, there is no room in the trunk or back seat. It would impossible for five adults to ride in this car. Accelleration is another feature lacking in this car. I have driven the Prius and was impressed with the get up and go. The CT is slow. This car lacks the pep of the Prius. The "Sport" mode is a joke As a station wagon, its a terrible failure. No head room, no luggage room and no space for passengers. I give the CT a failing grade.

I’ve owned this car since it had 30k miles. Only standard maintenance excluding rear shocks at about 140k miles. Average about 46 mpg combined.
Reliability
Slight road noise
Outstanding quality, runs great, I really have nothing bad to say about this car. I am a big person - 6'3" 240 lbs - I have no problems getting in and out. The interior is surprisingly roomy for how big (or small) the car is. All controls are easily visible and within reach. I have sat in the back seat and my legs have room if the front seats are moved up a little - and there is plenty of head room. The interior is still in excellent shape after 12 years. The surfaces you touch are soft and are high quality. Comfortable ride and in sports mode it gets going pretty quickly. Yes...it shares the same hybrid drive system with the Prius, but Lexus has added their touch and created a stylish, reliable, economic car that is fun to drive and perfect for daily driving. Finally, it's a Lexus! Their service department is second to none, and it is what really makes owning a Lexus a pleasure. Learning how to drive a hybrid to get the best fuel economy was easy. Driving on city streets in stop and go traffic utilizes the battery and electric motor and gets the best gas mileage. Driving at freeway speeds, you are only using the gas motor, so the mileage goes down.
Gas milage, handling, seats, looks, the brakes
I got my first CT in 2011 and instantly fell in love with it for the gas mileage. I decided to get the 2015 when I saw the Blue paint job! It is comfortable and fun to drive, especially in Sport mode. I get from 38-43MPG and can fold the rear seats down to carry all the stuff I need for a getaway weekend. The stereo is fantastic and I use the heated seats all the time. I describe the car as a Prius on steroids because of the luxury feel inside. I was sad to see that they discontinued this model. I've got 88k miles and plan to take it to 120K.
Handling
Motor replacement
Some of the motor, after 100k start to use oil. Mine used 2 quarts per 1,000 mikes. (Green car, LOL) I replaced the motor at 134k for $4k. Its a gamble, some are ok some are bad.
Great mileage, reliable. Lacks power accelerating. Well appointed features- lower-end luxury range. Recommended for economy-minded folks.
This is an amazing car if you're of medium or smaller stature. Would not recommend for very tall or big people. I get compliments on this car literally anytime someone gets in it - people love it! THE GAS MILEAGE IS AMAZING. 40/43 mpg according to all online sources, but I've gotten up to 47 mpg on the highway.
Fun to drive, F Sport looks great
Breaking, Horsepower
I have a new Lexus IS 350 F Sport and now 2017 CT F Sport and the CT is great addition. The F Sport looks great especially in Blue! Very decent ride that looks good, not to mention the gas mileage LOL! 42 MPG pretty amazing! The interior and exterior of the F Sport is a must have for the CT is a must I’ve I’ve also owned a 2012 as a second vehicle. Just remember this is not a performance car, it’s practical but if you want a sporty car that is good on gas and reliable definitely check out the CT F Sport! I wish Lexus still made the CT as the hybrid engine would be so much nicer today!

Although the CT is the smallest car Lexus makes, it is very comfortable. We can fit 5 adults if necessary and fill the tank for less than $35 to drive 400 miles. It is very reliable, easy to parallel park and safe to drive.
