Positive Review

"Grood bang for the buck!"

You definitely get what you pay for. Camparable crossovers (VW Toureg, BMW X3/X5, Audi Q5, etc.) may start off less, but once you add the options to match the pure plus w/premium package, the others end up being way more than the evoque. Value 8/10: For the amount of features you get and the luxury brand name, it's a decent price. Reliability 6/10: While I've had no safety issues, I've still had to bring the vehicle in for minor things here and there. It's a real pain in the rear when you live about 100 miles from the nearest dealership, not to the mention the unnecessary miles you have to put on your car. From reading other owner reviews, it seems this is a mixed bag and some have problems while others have seen nothing. Too early to tell though. Quality 8/10: excellent materials and well assembled, but I do have to ding a couple points since things are already "breaking" so soon. Driving Dynamics 9/10: Solid performance, great feel, good fuel economy. -1 point as there is noticeable turbo lag and if you don't feather the throttle properly, the sudden turbo kick can be quite unexpected. Design 10/10: There's no denying it. This thing looks amazing. From the head turning headlights and body lines, to the luxurious interior, the Evoque definitely has the "wow" factor. Comfort & Convenience 8/10: While it fits 4-5 adults quite comfortably, the storage is lacking. Not that big of a deal as a city cruiser/commuter. This can be remedied by laying down the rear seats, but you give up the rear seating. It can also be offset by having roof rails, but they aren't standard like a lot of other crossovers in this price range and cost quite a bit as a separate accessory. Overall 8/10: This thing is awesome given that you can accept the drawbacks here and there, but hey what relationship doesn't have its flaws? The things that I've had issues with so far aren't bad considering that you keep in mind that this is a first year model. Overall, I love my Evoque!

"Worst car"

Bought car January 2. Towed after 1 week. All warning lights came on no power steering, car would not shift to another gear. Everything. Took one week to repair. Module replaced. Smart keys stopped working this week. Called everyone to complain. Called first time and this time also. Said I have warranty and they stand behind. No help. Poor service to make sure car one month old repaired. I have owned 20 cars from for focus to Infiniti and this is the worst. Car towed again today.

Land Rover is Better than it used to be for sure.
Pros

Range Rover Style in a small Urban Package

Cons

really can't think of anything another car doesn't have as well

Reviews are like feedback on eBay. EVERYONE who is disappointed will leave a bad review. MANY people who are satisfied don't bother to take the time. I was one of those who said I would Never buy another Land Rover after a Freelander Failure. Then I saw the New Evoque in 2013 and loved the look but stayed away... until I couldn't help but to do some research on the new 'Baby Rover'. What I found intrigued me. It's the 2012-2017 models that use a variation on the Ford Ecoboost engine. NO TIMING BELT TO FAIL. In fact since I've done some service under the hood being an Ex-Ford Tech there is no shortage of Ford part numbers (even on the hoses) so I convinced myself that LR had addressed past engine issues and employed the help of a Company that I support. It wasn't until 2018 that they started using their own Ingenium engine as they call it. I can't speak for that one, but I've had a great time so far w/ a 1st generation model as a second owner adding another 42k miles to it and I don't think there's anything else on the market that looks as cool in a small package.

The Worst Ever

At 41,000 miles, in otherwise good condition, now requires $10,000 in repairs. All required maintenance performed, and two sets of new tires after purchase. A $59,000 purchase price, now offered $14,000 from the dealer. My worst car experience ever, at 77 years of age. Pure junk.

Love my Range Rover E
Pros

Yes Fun to drive. Handle adverse weather condition

Cons

Quiet engine, ride a little bumpy at times

Pricey purchase, Over pricey repairs! At times felt like nothing was done. 2 times had to go back, check engine light left on or switch not turned off. Received price for service complained and it was reduced to where it should have been in the first place!

Keeping mine for good!!!!!!
Cons

Wish I had gotten the Orange one :I

Very unique luxury SUV convertible, you won't see yourself coming back at you. Awesome both off road and pulling up to a valet. Produced only 3 years so will certainly be a collector car. Not everyone gets the concept and that's the way we like it :)

AVOID! Horrible customer service
Pros

style

Cons

Transmission snaps your head back when shifting!

I called the customer service hotline after after my vehicle was in and out of dealers for service but never fixing the problem! They never said anything was wrong and it was "normal" to shift into 2nd gear so hard your head would snap back. Conveniently right after warranty ran out I received a letter for a class action suit regarding the transmission shift problems. Instead of joining the class action suit I called to see if they would fix the car now that there was a known transmission issue. The person was full of promises and lies with returning calls, etc. Perhaps the worse customer service I've ever seen. You would never expect this for high end cars costing from $60k to $200K. I will never buy another Land Rover and so far have steered 4 people from buying their vehicles. I will continue to tell people my experience and hopefully save them from what I went through.
