BE CAUTION WHEN LOOKING AT THIS VEHICLE! Driving to work, only the second time I drove my 2023 Kia Sorento EX X-Line, it went limp after trying to accelerate from a stopped position at a stop sign. I thought that was odd, but maybe just a hiccup from it being new. Driving home from work that night, only the third time driving the vehicle, I was stopped at a red light and when it was time to go I accelerated like normal and the car completely turned off on me. The headlights, dash board, computer screen, power, everything turned off while I was driving in the dark at rush hour. I had owned the car for less than 48 hours before heading to the dealership to unwind the deal and return the car. I loved how the Sorento looked inside and out and thought it would be a good car being new, but couldn't risk it happening again. After some research after the fact, I found alot of people have experienced this as well.

Not a dependable car. Poor performance in cold weather, Android auto must be connected with cable. Limited space behind 3rd row
We bought our 2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid in May of 2024. It was bought new from a Kia dealership. Today, it has been driven for a total of 922 miles. Why? because for the last two months it has been sitting at the dealership, pending repairs for codes P198500 and P177600. The codes say transmission, Kia said it was everything else. The problems started when we tried to start the car during a cold night, about 20 degrees. So, for the past nearly 60 days, it has gone to the dealership twice, and it is still there. Kia has not been helpful, and the dealership has not been able to fix it. So, we wait. I noted that other people wrote about mechanical issues with new Kias, and that should have been a flag of warning for us.
My audio went out at 38,000 miles and the warranty only covered uo to 36,000. A great disappointment as I really liked it as our family car. I had to wait two months to get a diagnostic test. This tells me they most likely have a lot of technical failures.
I leased a 2024 Kia Sorento LX about 6 months ago. I'll start with the positives. I like the large screen and safety technology. The panoramic sunroof is nice, too. But the performance of the 4 cylinder turbo charged engine is very underwhelming. Acceleration is not smooth, and there seems to be a significant delay in the transmission. For example, I change lanes and floor the accelerator to get up to speed and nothing happens for 2 or 3 seconds before it jerks and starts accelerating. Very disconcerting when you're trying to blend into faster flowing traffic. I've had V6's in previous vehicles and I miss it. I can't speak for Kia's V6 since I don't have it. Overall, I am disappointed and regret my purchase. Unfortunately, my lease is underwater at the moment. As soon as it's not, I will be trading it in and getting a vehicle with a V6.

Car has been stalling and dying. Dangerous but even more in Houston traffic. Is in shop..again.. while KIA decides IF they will replace transmission. IF! There are class action suits out now. I have 2:00 zoom with firm. Car problem is JUA’s fault. Why should I have to pay for car rental expense?
Enough for city drive with electric only.

This car satisfy both city and long distance. KIA Sorento provide enough space for cargo, and enough for 6 people.

Bad resale value reputation. Engine, transmission is all junk. Gasoline vehicles are also taking a noise dive. It's best to walk away, before purchasing this lemon. This is a true review. These are not a good vehicle choice.

My 2021 Kia Sorenson EX AWD was a very nice car to own plenty of power and a smooth ride . 2 recalls made it even better in the beginning I also purchased another Kia Sorento 2024 X Line SW Prestige .
