"Still a great car for the money"

This is an update from my review a year ago, and I still feel the same about this car. For the money its an outstanding value. I have had no real issues with the car aside from the minor suspension shimmy when the tires are cold. The dealer replaced the tires for me at no charge, it helped but did not eliminate the issue. With free maintenance I have only put gas into the car and drive it. The dealer locally does a good job taking care of the car, and even though I also have never gotten a Cadenza or better as my loaner, it doesnt really bother me to drive a Sorrento or Optima. The coolest thing about the car is the body style, there are so few of these cars out there, that you will notice people stopping to figure out what kind of car it is. Again the suspension is too loose and not meant to be driven hard into twisty roads, but on a regular road or highway this car will just fly. If you can get by without the fancy name badge, this is a great car

Critical Review

"Do not buy a K900 worst quality reliability"

We have two identical K900s that we bought in October 2016 we have taken both of the cars in since day 2 with small to large problems. Kia Motors was aware of some of the issues prior to us buying our two cars. As an example, the cruise control set speed indicator and speedometer do not match, ex. If the cruise is set at 70 mph it says you are going 75 mph on speedometer they still have no idea how to fix it from Kia Motors and its been over 4 months since I reported it. Backup camera wouldn't show picture had camera replaced. Auto Hold Brake feature on both have issues, on one it lets off the brake when it shouldn't which could make you get into an accident. Our other K900 is also having an issue with Auto Hold but it now doesn't work at all and has lights on indicating it knows there is an issue. For both, parts have been ordered to replace a different module on each respectively one a Trac module and other an ABS module, but it sounds like the Field Technician is guessing at least with the ABS module been waiting for ABS module since November 26. 2016. Trac module was ordered in late December. Fuel door doesn't open now without using manual release in trunk along with pushing the door open. Vibration, tire and alignment issues continue to be present even after multiple times of tires being replaced. Finally, overall customer service satisfaction from Kia Motors in handling my cases is Extremely Poor, I asked Kia on December 19 for a callback and even after multiple attempts to speak with upper management and for callbacks, the first time someone called me back was on January 12. I only received a callback because I had to file a BBB Autoline complaint since they never responded to my lemon law notice even after 30 days and even though I already had an open case. Also, be aware although Kia promises on their site that K900 customers should get a Cadenza or K900 loaner car don't bet on it. My dealer only has 2 loaner cars in its tiny fleet, an Optima or Sorrento don't expect to be blown away for the start of a luxury car experience. I think it is funny that the dealer employees have to be K900 certified but they don't follow Kia's rules even though they know the rules. And if you're wondering my dealer is the largest in the world so why can't they follow the rules and meet customer expectations.

A fully loaded Kia K900 is an incredible car :-)
Pros

Everything about the car

Cons

Should have adjustable height front end 4 approach

I have owned more than one s 500 Mercedes, Porsches, Ferrari, and all the domestics from cars to trucks. This Kia K900 was a biggest surprise of any car I've ever had... I just didn't expect the luxury, the acceleration, the reliability the power and all around fit and finish of a Kia. Let's get to tell the way right away it is first and foremost luxury car and that it excels in Spades there really are no other words. One thing I will say is up against the Mercedes S500 it's no competition the Kia wins hands down... and it is much sportier because of it's extremely well put together design they get the most out of all the horsepower that the car has, and frankly it just shocks you because before you know it you're doing 90 that reminds me of my first Mercedes back in the 70s... so if you're looking for a great car that does it all this is it. One complaint might be that the car is a little low so another set of rims and tires to elevate the car just a couple of inches would do wonders for it otherwise you have to be a little careful entering approaches and driveways and such - that's the only negative I have about the car.

LOVE This Car
Pros

QUIET! Power comfort features galore

Cons

None! Love it

A well kept secret as far as I’m concerned. Cannot imagine getting rid of it. The most quiet automobile I’ve ever owned. Workmanship top shelf all the way. At 74 I’ve owned a buttload of cars. This is without a doubt the best I’ve ever owned. V8 engine is a masterpiece.

Amazing car!!!!
Pros

stability/speed/luxury/room in the back seat and t

Cons

no heated steering wheel/sound system just ok

This car is so smooth.....dangerously smooth, you will find yourself doing over 100 mph on the highway with zero noise.... be careful! This car compares to those big boys BMW, Acura etc with ease! I am 6 foot tall and need the seat all the way back, the entire back seat still has a ton of room for adults. My 12 year old says the extra deep seats in the back feel like a bed, great for road trips The quick acceleration feels stable, the car never wanders, and well those Mustang GTs you see on the road.......this soccer mom has ran away from many times!!!!! Yeah you got beat by a girl and a KIA FUll luxury. I feel for the price that the heated steering wheel should be standard (it is for the Cadenza) and the sound system could be improved a little, but I adore this car!!!!! Be prepared - I have had mine for 1.5 years and I do a lot of city driving in traffic, barely getting 21 mpg.... This is a great car!

Very solid car for the price.

No maintenance fees, with premium warranty. Car value may not hold as strong as Lexus, BMW and Mercedes but your paying way less for the same features with double the warranty.
