Positive Review
I purchased my KIA AMANTI in 2010 with fewer than 18,000 miles. I now have 230,000 miles. I have replaced tires and windshield wipers and brakes & regular oil changes. I drive the heck out of my cars with some city driving but mostly trips in excess of 200 miles. This car has GREAT get up and go with plenty of room. I like the shifter where I can shift gears myself. I do that frequently. I wish they still sold this model. I wish it had more gadgets but in 08 they were not that popular. USB input would be nice. I'm selling it only because of the high milage.

Good car for an amateur car builder.

Rough around the edges. Poor interior materials. Rusts if you breathe on it. Dealer network composed of amateurs. Below average drive train. On the good side, the tires stayed inflated.
Fun to drive
They no longer make these!
I bought this car 6 months ago! It’s amazing! Roomy interior, quiet, excellent suspension, it glides over bumps! Power when you need it(275 hp). Excellent Stereo, heated seats, programmable seats, huge trunk and very easy to drive!
Very comfortable ride! Powerful!
I didn’t discover this sooner
I bought this car nearly 3 weeks, it was maintained very well, and very low mikes. Because it has 264 HOrsepower it has great pickup in passing! The front end looks like a jag, the rear end a Lincoln tow car! I’m a tall gentleman and I have great headroom and legroom!
Solid on highway, good gas milage
minor rust an rear wheel wells
Still drives SOLID ! Very few mechanical issues just tires, brakes etc. Nothing major. Rides like a dream, drove back & forth to Des Moines the past 4 years. AC, heated seats, minor rust, but got me through 15 Iowa winters.
6 sec to 60 mph / 14.4 sec 1/4 mile
To good to be true
My Experience At the time in 2008 i was looking for a nice car and i was looking different brand option then i stop in Hyundai and Kia dealer just to see the 2009 Genesis. At the time the deal for the Genesis 2009 was to short to complete so i decide to walk and walk the dealer and the sale guy mention to me "hey i have a luxury car who have the same engine from the Genesis but in kia Brand" i say to the sale man ok show me the car. When i start looking the car i thought was a Bentley ,jaguar , Benz and i say to my self "wao what classic design" then come the test drive and 11 year i still have the car. This car never with me problem and is very fast for the type of car ,11 years later i am very happy with him .
luxury car without the big price tag
low gas mileage
The Amanti has been a reliable, smooth and stylish ride. The comfort features are very nice. Leather heated seats, quality sound system, and spacious interior seating. It's a luxury car without the big price tag. This car has gotten lots of compliments over the years. I don't have any negative things to say other then I would like to get better gas mileage. I've owned this car for 13 years.
I OWN 2 KIAS
Looks good, Comfortable
Extremely high Maintenance Expenses!
This car is a good car for someone who is willing to really drop a lump sum of cash to keep this Vehicle moving. Many reports of Electrical and just Mechanical issues arise of this Vehicle. It's a Great looking car, Comfortable, Adjustable. But the price of simple repairs or maintenance such as Spark Plugs, Coils, Radiator, will cost you a pretty penny. Most Coils each cost $80-90 and Labor will cost an extra $300-600. Your Repairs so high because a. This is a Foreign Vehicle b. The Engine and system itself is so squished and compacted so much it takes hours to get to the root of the problem. I have had Multiple problems string left and right within 2-3 Months, almost back to back. I'm a Senior in High School (When this was written), and it is my first car. I was not ready to face such high Maintenance costs, and it always stressed me out when the next time it would breakdown or have another Major repair needed This car is no A to B car. This is a Luxury Car, that's supposed to 'Cousin' the Mercedes Benz. You better be pretty well off to maintain this caliber of Foreign beauty.
