Positive Review
Purchased to play in the woods. could use more power. swapped out the tires, for more aggressive ones. plus a few personal touches. After all it is a jeep. over all I love it.
Critical Review
Electrical problems from day one. The dash periodically goes blank and the lights go out. Manufacturer refuses to stand behind it. I have video of dash going blank and they still refuse to address problem because dash is working at time that it’s taken to dealership. There are numerous cases similar to mine listed on the internet and they still refuse to fix the problem. I would never buy or recommend a Jeep or Chrysler product. This company is terrible. I paid over $50.000.00 for a vehicle that I can’t trust. I’m always worried that I will be stranded again somewhere. This manufacturer does not care about their customers.

The jeep is in excellent condition, low miles for its age, and has some after market additions: Steel Front Bumper Steel Rear Bumper Steel Body Armor

community, build quality, fun
manual transmission, ride, cost
The good, it was a ton of fun, built really well, no rattles, no squeaks, the culture is great, and it was great in all weather. The only con i had was the manual transmission in my rubicon v6 red unlimited. That manual has had a recall since 2018 and no fix in sight. I ended up ditching it when my insurance company sent me a letter indicating that if it caught fire they wouldn't cover it until the recall was fixed, and the nhtsa signed off on the solution. (fast forward 2 years, still no fix) Obviously a big deal on a 50k+ jeep, so i traded it back in.. That said, i miss my jeep.. I loved my jeep.. I have since moved on, but really wish i just traded it for one with an automatic transmission.
It's a Jeep
Not for the freeway
Love our little red Wrangler X, 6 speed manual. Ordered it in 2007 and keep it in the garage at our vacation home in the mountains. The first thing we do when we drive up is connect the battery and take it for a ride. Only 16,500 miles on the odometer. I'm toying with the idea of lifting it and putting fat tires and a winch on, but another part me wants to keep it stock. It's such a fun car!
Strong engine, 4wd,
Water leaks, oil leaks, rattles, wind noise
Doors leak water constantly. I tried replacing with updated front door seals and adjusting doors in but same issues. Door panels rattle non stop center console creaks and rattles when you rest your arm on it. Oil filter housing cracks are common. I wouldn’t buy again.
Just a comfortable awesome ride! I'm more of a sports car person or I should say used to be till I got in this and drove. I love it.
Looks!!
The motor!!!
Had my Jeep for 3 years blown head gasket warped heads and now timing belt needs to be changed out!!! After almost 10k repairs including new 35” tires it’s time to say good bye!! Wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy Just Emptying Every Pocket!!! Jeep meaning
