Positive Review
Drove it out from the dealership on a Friday, after a week I went on a long trip with the family From San Francisco to Los Angeles (365 miles.) Filled her up and still had about a quarter left. Ride was smooth and comfortable. Steering was very responsive, it's a BEAST! Top speed I did was 95 mph and I have no complaints about it. It can get noisy inside at those speed levels due to wind, simply crank up the radio volume.
Critical Review
I've custom ordered my 4xe, waited for 3 months to arrive, and after using for little more than one months, now it's almost 2.5months at dealership with no sight when it will be fixed, waiting for a new transmission. I spend $5000+ on rental car as Stellantis doesn't provide one nor loaner. This car doesn't lives up for the Wranger name as you cannot take it to back country as it can stop any time anywhere suddenly. On local 4xe forums many buyers report suddens stops on the middle of highway or anywhere without prior warning require towing. Imagine being in ghe backcountry alone with your Jeep without cell signal and suddenly dies. Good luck spending the night in the middle of the forest or desert or walm miles. For overlanding it is terrible as battery eats up a ton of space. And it has a very small gas tank, total range is around 300 miles. For roadtrips you need go stop way to frequently. It is very loud too. The pedestrian warning system, the steering wheel motor and AC removes all benefits of silent cruising in the forest. Steering wheel is terrible, it's like a toy. No direct response from wheels what is happening. Of course there are Wrangler pros/cons as for any other Wranger. The only benefit of this is the power, it is fast, accelerates fast and very powerful. Torque / HP are amazing, similar to a 392. But this power over reliability and Stellantis package doesn't justify the pricetag. Also be this car has very poor MPG once the battery is depleted - 20-21 mpg. Overall it was a very big mistake buying this one. Jeep - just empty every pocker. I understand this but who wants to empty packet for a cheap rental car while paying for a car over $60k as well. Not providing loaner car is the most disappointing customer experience especially the price tag. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Fun Vehicle, Easy to maneuver in tight spots. can remove the top and doors,
The 2 Door could be too small for some.
Purchased a new leftover 2023 Wrangler Sport S February 2025. The 3. auto has plenty of power and shifts smooth. Ride on stock tires and wheels is smooth. Alpine Sound System sounds great and apple car play works well too.
Custom ordered this Jeep in 2020, coming from a JK I wanted to wait a couple of years for Jeep to get the kinks out of the new JL. We enjoy the Sky One Touch roof. No more stopping and putting on/off the freedom panels. Not one issue with this Jeep!
Versatility
Not a family vehicle
I love this jeep more than I thought I would! Handles very well, lots of options, and the ease of versatility makes it a joy to drive! Highly recommend!
Most everything
Doors will leak after a hard rainstorm when you open the doors
Very nice. A couple scratches on the bumper. It's a two door. It has removable doors and roof. Hood lock, security alarm
Tons of power, easy to use electric only mode
Minimal miles available in electric only mode
I have had my 2024 4xe for about a year now. I use it daily for a 25 mile round trip in electric only. I charge it daily using my existing solar panels. When I leave town, I use gas, but my overall mpg at the pump is 32mpg. It has 375hp, 470 tq, and goes 0-60 in 5 seconds, all while getting 32 mpg. I use it for four wheeling and have taken it to several trails, and 2 different off-road parks. I have used 4Hi Auto, 4Hi Part Time, 4LO, and really never touch 2wd. It is designed to be run in 4Hi Auto and there are several Jeep engineers who have released statements that they use 4Hi Auto 100% of the time on roads with no issues. Some people state they have lost power on the freeway, but I ran polls on several groups online and in each group between 100 and 300 people answered the poll questions and less than 10% had any sort of issue with their 4xe. I used to have a 77 CJ-5, and it had a ton of issues. I haven't had one problem with my 4xe. I even put larger tires, a 2" lift, shock extensions, longer lower control arms, and bigger bump stops on it for off-roading, and it still drives like it is on glass on the freeway at 75mph. I love my 4xe and will never go back to an ICE version. Those who complain about PHEV's and EV's are just ignorant of the technology and don't own own from the comments I've seen.
Looks nice and fun to drive
Lots of electrical and engine issues repeatedly
I got this car brand new and it has given me the worst 2.5 years so far. It has a lot of electrical and engine issues to the point where i’ve gotten stuck in the road couple times since the engine repeatedly overheats. lots of leakage with this car and gauges going bad for something that has under 20,000 miles is ridiculous and would stay far away from this car and get yourself a more reliable car.
I plan to update the new car. This car is too fuel-consuming and I want to replace the electronic car.
I really wanted to love this car and yes it looks good but I’ve had so many issues on my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. Just be prepared to have your car in the shop all the time and know that most dealerships only have one certified mechanic to work on these. Always insist on getting a rental car if they’re going to have the car overnight and make sure they Uber you if you need to get around if they’re having your car for the day. And let’s not forget the ongoing recall..,
