Positive Review
l was not eligible for the veterans discount of 500.00. You have to be active duty or retired, I was drafted in 1968 and spent 13 months overseas and I am not eligible. I feel ALL veterans should be eligible for the Chrysler discount.
Critical Review
These vehicles were clearly not ready for production. Tons of recalls and they still can't fix them properly. Market value is plummeting because of it. Beyond that the hybrid system in general is garbage And extremely inefficient. Ford made a better system 10 years ago when the technology was new. Stellantis needs to buy these back.. unacceptable.

Beautiful inside and out (Summit Reserve)
Inconsistent reliability (hit or miss)
Great looks and drive, but totally unreliable with very weak customer support, based on our experience. Wouldn’t consciously recommend this car to my parents, friends, or anyone… maybe to my enemies. Brand-new 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Reserve, stunning car, but ours died at 300 miles due to a major electrical defect. Jeep forced invasive repairs, but it failed again. Obvious lemon. In our experience, Jeep Wave has been helpless. Jeep Retention is stalling—no callbacks, no emails, and preemptively labeled us ‘High Risk’ in their system. They dismissed a rightful replacement or buyback, instead pushing lowball offers and arbitration, disregarding consumer protection rights. This is Stellantis’ (FCA) failure. If you’re in a similar situation: Hire a lawyer, file with the Attorney General, and demand your rights. Unethical. Unacceptable. How is this happening in the U.S.? The Good: - Beautiful inside and out (Summit Reserve) - Great features—massage seats, McIntosh sound system, etc. - True SUV with air suspension—not just another crossover - Comfortable family ride with smooth and responsive driving dynamics (V6) - Good value and safety, on paper - Made in the USA The Bad: - Inconsistent reliability (hit or miss) - Steep depreciation - Weak customer support - Lack of commitment to consumer protection rights - Our dealer has expressed frustration with Stellantis/FCA
Vehicle has less than a year and it has been twice taken to service due battery and electric problems. Not reliable, not sure if I will be back home in a towtruck.
I have a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland that I purchased last spring This is the first winter that I have owned it. The vehicle drives in electric mode maybe 5% of the time I drive it even though it is fully charged. I have taken the car to the dealer and spoken to Jeep customer care about the fact that the vehicle almost always runs in "electric mode unavailable". I have been told by Jeep that the vehicle will not run in electric mode when you drive it in a cold weather environment. I would urge Jeep to tell customers in cold weather states that the car will not work as designed in these states due to the cold. I paid extra for the 4xe and also paid for a level 2 charging station only to find out the electric mode is useless 7 months of the year. A trustworthy company would have this information in large print as a stand alone sticker on the vehicle. Shame on Stellantis
My previous vehicle was a 2014 JGC ecoDiesel, the first year Jeep reintroduced a diesel engine to the car. I loved that car - great torque and great mileage (31-32 mpg highway). I passed over the 2014 V6 gas engine because it just seemed underpowered to me. I didn't even want to test drive the 2022 V6 because of that memory but the salesperson convinced me to try it, saying it was a very different experience. And it is! Great pickup, good mileage for a car that size and weight (approx 26 mpg highway). Solid feel to the vehicle, not cheap and "tinny". But ... Many electrical issues. It was completely DOA on 2 occasions and had to be jumped to go to the dealer -- and no, I didn't leave anything on. Another time, as soon as I started it, every idiot light lit up the dashboard and remained on and bells kept chiming. I even didn't have power steering! Luckily, this happened in a strip mall parking lot literally across the street from the dealer (what are the odds?!?) and I was able to muscle the steering to get there. Guess what? I shut the car off and in the 5 minutes I was in complaining to the service manager it just fixed itself. In the 5 months since, though, random things don't work. Currently, the front collision mitigation warning light is on and my "Paddle shifting disabled". Service has no idea why, so I'll have to leave it yet again. Start/stop feature hasn't worked about 95% of the time I've had the car. it's been in 3 times so far for this and each time they promise me it's fixed, it works again as designed -- for about a week. And every couple weeks I'm doing a 200+ mile highway drive each way, so it's not as if the batteries aren't getting charged up. That's why I only rate the car a 3-star out of 5. Too many electrical (?) issues to recommend this vehicle. I have zero faith that it won't leave me stranded somewhere sometime and I'm sure I won't be across the street from the dealer when it happens.
Looks good sitting at the shop, good pickup when it runs.
bad engine, bad service, bad customer relations, no support
This has to be the worst vehicle purchase of my life. I've owned this car for 19 months and it has been in the shop over 7 months. A few weeks it was for recalls but the rest of the time it had cooling and engine problems. The engine problem was so bad that they had to replace before it hit 14K miles. That took almost 5 months to complete the change. This included waiting on a decision from Jeep engineering, then waiting on parts because the engine was on back order (I wonder why), then waiting on a certified mechanic to replace the engine. Now there is another safety recall for a battery replacement, and they do not have the parts to fix it. So, when the parts are finally are available, it will probably be in the shop for another month to have it swapped out.
We got so taken by a dealership on our Jeep. We needed a car quickly and did not do our research. Do we have any recourse?
Very solid ride.
Pricey
Review is for 2023 Grand Cherokee Sumit. Has all the options including passenger screen. Equipped with six cylinder engine. Gas mileage is 20 mpg. Never used the passenger screen. Don’t waste money on that. The six is adequate and no problems. Interior is beautiful. This vehicles has lots of switches and you do not have to use screen. Driven 20,000 miles with no issues. Equipped with most advanced 4 wheel drive. Got the McIntosh stereo. Very expensive but worth it. My favorite things about the car. Night vision. It sees people and animals long before u can. I use this feature whenever I drive at night. The self drive is also a great option. It keeps you centered and keeps you back from other cars. I purchased a seven year 150,000 miles warranty. I have the regular size, not the EL. It is very solid ride.
Great car good value reliable cheap to operate
None for me
This has been the best Jeep yet. I love everything about it. I have a 15 mile commute, charge at FPL charger for free and it hasn’t cost me a cent to operate for my commute. Very comfortable and reliable!! I would highly recommend this 4XE
