Positive Review
I love this Jeep. The XJ models are one of the greatest Jeep came up with. It has the ever so reliable Bullet Proof Straight 6 engine that runs even when the Jeep looks like scrap on wheels. I have the Sport Trim and it is a BEAST on the highway. I race people all the time on the highway home from work and i either: completely dominate my opponent from the jump or can keep up very close behind them. If you have a Japanese commuter car or a Ford I wouldn't race a Jeep!! I also wouldn't recommend living too far from a gas station because these babies guzzle gas down faster than a person drinking water after spending weeks in a desert. Speaking of deserts these Jeeps would drive through one flawlessly. Sand, Dirt, Mud, Snow, Rain doesn't phase a Jeep the 4X4 works perfectly and they refuse to get stuck. But they still are susceptible to all forms of Ice so don't get too cocky. All in all Jeeps are the best. If you don't have one buy one today. Everyone needs at least one in their Driveway.
Critical Review
For such a well-reviewed vehicle, my ownership of a 2001 Jeep Cherokee has been a nightmare. It leaks oil like every Jeep, of course, and has a rumble when you're at highway speeds, but I expected those things. What I didn't expect was that I'd be constantly spending thousands of dollars with it in the shop. It burns through ignition coils and sensors like nobody's business, kills batteries, loses power while driving, the engine misfires, and 3 shops so far have all failed to make these problems go away!

I selected all options for this vehicle but Kelley doesn't offer Right hand drive even though this vehicle cones from the factory right hand. So i am forced to GUESS at the price.
4.0 , 2wd Sport automatic white Very good condition inside and out , Newer tires Regular maintenance
reliability
front seats not good for long drives without help
I had a drunk driver turn left in front of me--no time to stop-totaled my Jeep Cherokee--Police told me if I hadn't been driving my Jeep i would most likely been killed. I bought another just like it except this one is 4x4. Previous owner had abused this one. I fixed all the abused points and love love love my 2000 Jeep. 4L is the best EVER. I will always buy this model as long as they remain available. I cannot say enough. Many people want it. I say go buy your own.
Everything about the car
Nothing
I love this thing it is so cool and so fun to drive, has a powerful engine, does not make noises, sport utility
Reliable, very capable, cheap replacement parts.
lots of wind noise, cramped interior, rides rough.
Bought my XJ in Indiana in 2018, I've been everywhere with it, on and off road, and it has never let me down. If you're looking for comfort, move on lol, these are notoriously rough riders, that's why the seats are so plush, you can almost make them ride like a caddy, but not without forking over some big money on some high end shocks and a rear coil-over conversion kit (not worth it if you ask me). Tow package ones are rated to tow 5000 pounds, but I would NEVER do that, the front end gets too light even with a weight distributing hitch, and the rear drum brakes can barely handle stopping all of it.
Reliable and dependable plus towing power
Gas mileage could be a little better but was ok
My jeep grand cherokee limited has been the best vehicle that I ever purchased. The most dependable and reliable so far. Its fully loaded with features from heated seats to comfort control and the 4x4 and towing package is great!
Fun to drive
Gas mileage could be better.
Car is awesome off road and in snow. Usually just basic upkeep. Very few surprise problems. Been well cared for. Quite comfortable for a 4wd off road vehicle. Lifted, so, gret ground clearance.
For my 1997 Jeep Cherokee it is a best, I bought it almost a year ago and when I bought it off of one of my buddies it was in terrible condition. My valve cover was leaking oil, the blinkers wouldn't work, heater and A/C wouldn't work, had a transmission oil leak, etc. The list goes on need less to say in the short time that I have had this Jeep I have done a lot to it which is really surprising because of how busy I am working full time and also going to school full time. But, I have almost everything fixed on my Jeep and so far everything that I have done has been really easy. The dash and most if not all of the trim inside of the Jeep you can take off with just a simple screwdriver. Overall the Jeep Cherokee is an amazing vehicle on and off the road.
