Positive Review
Traded in our '03 Pontiac Montana since we wanted more luxury. Battled it down between the Acura MDX, and Infiniti QX60. Test drove the Acura first, and came away with okay impressions, except that the third row seat was just...weird. Then we went over to the Infiniti, and we were ABSOLUTELY blown away! The arm room/legroom (even in third row) was ENORMOUS!! Acura leather was higher quality, but STIFF!! Infiniti as I sat down I just sunk right in! Love the blind spot feature, as it has it on BOTH sides! Adore the Around view monitor when reversing! The second-row sliding seat was good. Acura's system (power slide) was quicker, but the QX60 has more room TO get in the third row. Driving it was not as fun/sporty as Acura, but it whopped MDX in so many other ways it was impossible to say no! We got a 3.5 AWD basically loaded with everything on it in Midnight Garnet with Black interior. Customer service was FANTASTIC!! If you want the best in Luxury and 3-row utility, you MUST check this car out!!
Critical Review
The JX looks good and the interior is very nice. Yes it is comfortable. Unfortunately the CVT transmission that comes with the JX does not belong. If you have not experienced this new style of transmission educate yourself first!!! The CVT will just rev up unexpected at times, this makes it feels as if your transmission and engine are slipping and working way too hard. It is a very unnatural feel If your used to the performance of a traditional transmission. This effects the power of the JX Which Boggs down between 1100 and 2000 RPM before picking back up. I also experienced downshifting. Having said this, if your not a driver and use the JX just to run around town you should be ok. If your someone that enjoys driving and the feel of a quality ride stick with a vehicle with traditional transmission. You should not have to sacrifice in this price bracket.

I love your site usually but you have 4 recalls on my car and if you run them my car has NO SAFTY RECALLS THAT MATTERS TO PROPLR
I did the research on this pre-owned vehicle to find out I should get remarkable performance and longevity out of this vehicle. I did not. No sooner did I buy it 2 years ago, than the transmission went out at about 110,000. Then the catalytic converter went out around 115,000 and what's more, the air conditioner failed at around 128,000. The cabin air filter didn't hold up either. The hub caps have peeled, too. I drive it between Iowa and Florida. It gets lousy mileage around 17 mpg combined. I took 5 large adult passengers and our luggage to Port Canavarel for a cruise. in it. It is comfortable, roomy, well appointed and looks great or else I'd have rated it a #1.
Excellent vehicle Drives well.. great in winter..comfortable..lost of space..seats 7 comfortably...no tight spaces... Engine is powerful .excellent on gas
Vehicle is very spacious
Poorly built engine
I do not recommend buying this vehicle until infiniti can resolve the oil sludge buidl up that leads to engine failure. I have a 2017 QX 60 with 87,000 miles and I have been informed that I need a new engine costing $16k. Reason is there is a flaw that causes oil sludge buildup causing the oil not to properly lubricate the engine leading to failure. I have maintained my car with on time oil changes and maintaince at every required milestone since my brand new purchase. Infiniti will not acknowledge the problem and has offer no resolution. As I researched online I found this is a common problem with this year and model of my car. At this point, a class action lawsuit is the only option to seek a resolution. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!!
Powerful, stylish, seats 7, reliable
Noisy, screen display, Gps
Replaced a Kia Sorento with this QX60. Really like the car performance, engine power, reliability ( so far, 65k miles) seating configuration and optional 7 seats and it is a good looking car in and out. Cons: interior is noisy, navigation system is terrible compare with our phone apps, rear view camera is very hard to see what is behind, map screen difficult to see due to angle setting.
The sunroof leaked. The windshield wipers will randomly stop working especially when it's down pouring. The heater doesn't work during the winter. The ac doesn't work in the summer.
I have been driving a 2015 QX 60 for five years and can’t wait to get rid of it. First of all, it takes premium gas, which has already been less than ideal in the recent economy. But add to that the fact that it gets the worst gas, mileage of any car I’ve owned in my 50 years and it’s a real money pit. In addition, the battery lasts about 1 to 1 1/2 years. Fortunately, it’s under warranty at our dealership for two years so I don’t have to keep paying for replacement batteries, but it sure is inconvenient when it decides to go out. According to the dealership, the batteries in this model were put in a bad spot where they tend to get too hot, which damages the battery, and accelerates erosion. The third row is almost unusable unless you have kids who are just big enough to get out of car seats, but haven’t hit their growth spurt yet. Overall, it’s been a disappointing experience and I can’t wait to get rid of it.
Drives like a dream. We bought this car brand new. It’s pearl white and it’s receives a lot of glances. The only negative thing I can say is that it doesn’t have Apple Car play, other than that this is a very nice vehicle. Good cargo space with the 3rd row down. We bought this car after comparing to many other vehicles including Acuras, Volkswagens, and Hyundais. A good choice!
