Positive Review
We've had this car for 4 years now, since before having our second child. We now have three in carseats in the back, and although we CAN seat them 3 across, space is super tight. There's not a lot of leg room in the front or rear, and the oldest broke the center console from constantly pushing his feet against it to try to scoot back in his seat. The main reason I'm even writing this review is because yesterday I noticed that for the first time since owning this vehicle we had a flat tire in the driveway. I had to remove all the carseats just to get to the tools needed to lower the spare (mind you, there's no LATCH system in this model, only seatbelts). If I'd been on the road with the kids when this happened, where would I have put them and their carseats while I changed the tire? It would make far more sense for Infiniti put the tools in the back in the little compartment under the carpet, which is where I'm now keeping them just in case. We thought we could make this vehicle work, but I now find myself shopping for a minivan *shudder*. Soccer mom status, here I come. :(
Critical Review
i hated how the driving experience was bad. you didnt connect with the road, and it didnt handle well. the speed is paltry and the turning was slow and had low lateral Gs.

Stylish, reliable, safe
Gas mileage
This car is a perfect car for a new driver as it’s safe! Sold metal around, stylish 4W drive look. Looks like a 4 Runner but not. Gas mileage isn’t good but if your just driving it around town or close mileage it’s great. Not many cars can go 20 years and look and run like this car can
Technology, style, strong engine/transmission, fun
Rust, Rust, Rust, Rust, Rust
I was a fan of the QX4 since it's introduction in 1997. Nissan brought us the Pathfinder and Infiniti took that strong reliable work horse and turned it into a very handsome off-road qualified luxury SUV. Because of the changing environment away from truck based SUVs, the 2003 Infiniti QX4 was the final year and as the last year, this vehicle had all the latest technology available from Nissan/Infiniti (including adaptive speed control, 4WD derived from the Nissan Skyline/GT-R), & remote start). The SUV is incredible. I appreciate the classic and timeless styling of the QX4. The 2003 QX4 had beautiful style, HID headlights, keyless remote start, beautiful leather seats, heated front/rear seats, moonroof, and amazingly smart and fun to drive. It was one I had to sell because I have too many cars compared to parking spots. It was sold to someone I know because I trust the quality of Infiniti from 2003. BTW, the rust belt states, the QX4 WILL rust, like guaranteed!!
RELIABLE!!
aluminum engine: after 10 yrs it warps & leaks oil
Ive owned about 10 cars, nothing comes close. My biggest thing is reliability and minimum time in the shop. In 16 years of ownership, this car has been in the shop only a handful of times (other than basic maintenance)..I didnt have a repair over 200 until the car was 15 years old....crazy.
smooth and fun to drive
nothing bad to say about it
Went from a Grand Cherokee to this QX4 and no comparison I fell in loved with my QX4 right away first time I test drove it.
comfortable interior
didnt handle well, was slow

Timeless style, reliability, efficient n powerfull
Doesn't make it's own gas?
Years ago I owned 03 pathfinder that I loved. For the heck of it, I started to poke around looking at the Infiniti counter part (the Q) as I always thought they were really sharp looking. Ended up finding a low mileage Q, went to look at it, and it came home with me. That vintage pathfinder (01-04) was great (by far the best years they made), and the Q takes all that is great from the pathfinder, and steps it up a notch. First, mechanically, our Q (that we still own and is now 14 yrs old, 02 model built and sold in 01) has been nearly flawless mechanically...no, not just mechanically, overall. At 14 yrs old it is just now in the need of some exhaust work (still all original) and maybe shocks(that's a maybe as tires still wear evenly, she still rides perfect, and no leaks...just feel like its time). Other than 1 small item (minor fix to climate control as blower was staying on) it has needed nothing. Really, nothing...and this car is loaded with options, that all still work. Just routine maintenance (oil changes, tires, etc.). Body is still tight (no rust and I don't store it in the garage, and it has been in IL and WI - snow - it's whole life), interior shows little wear (no cracks in leather, etc), and it is still a joy to drive. Plenty of power (230hp V6 also gets decent gas mileage), and timeless looks (still sharper looking than many new models, and not a ton of them on the road). Besides the sharp exterior looks, I believe it still has one of the most attractive and best laid out cabins (the dash, controls, gauges, etc...logical, and premium without being gaudy). Bottom line, I'd by another one if I could find a low mileage example...as anything newer I've looked at in the last 6-7 yrs, isn't an upgrade. Pick one up if you can it, and don't let mileage scare you, the Nissan 3.5L motor is one best out there (have read some reviews of drivetrains that put it in top 5 engines ever mass produced based on reliability, power and efficiency).
has never let us down. still looks modern, Has Zenon headlights. very comfortable. Original owner.
fun to drive multi use vehicle.
Not best gas mileage with 4X4.
Unlike alot of them this one rides great...one nice feature is back seats fold up exposing a perfect flat area . Can take offroad but I would not recommend.
