"It handles Great!!"

Mine is the AWD version with the tech and journey packages. I purchased it off lease with 64,000 miles on it and have been driving it for 5 months. Locally, I get 19 mpg and 23 on highway, only if i keep it under 60. The build quality of this vehicle compares only to the top end bmw's and mercedes which cost 100k. Its a good value compared to those cars. The handling is top notch and the car will run on regular if you drive it easy, however thats hard to do since the car is so much fun to drive. You can turn on the radio, phone, dvd, climate system and navigation just by speaking commands via bluetooth. The seats are heated and air conditioned as well. Plenty of leg room in the back seats for 6' adults. The adaptive cruise control works flawlessly using a laser sensor located under the grille. The rear back up camera works surprising well even in the darkness of night. The lane departure system works off of the video camera mounted above the rear view mirror, although the unit gives off eroneous readings when driving into the sun or on wet roads, but can be turned off if needed. The bose 14 speaker stereo with subwoofer sounds great with classical, acoustical and most pop but sounds dull and boomy when listening to rock. The bose system is overated(and overpriced) by many people. Infiniti needs to improve in that area.My car is an 06' and still has that new car smell which everyone comments on when they get in. The car cries for a remote start but none is available from the dealer and you have to shop to find someone that will dare touch an infiniti wiring harness, but they are out there..note..you will have to give up one of your remotes(key) to have the remote start installed. It runs about $400(parts and labor).Infinitis dont hold their value like Lexus so you'll be able to negotiate alot! Infiniti is still underated by most buyers and thats why the lower price tags, Book value on mine was 24K and i got it for 18K....and the rotten economy isn't helping either. I see used infinits sitting on lots for 6 months or more. Go pick up your M today..cheap!

"To Buy An M Or Not To Buy An M"

I’ve Had the car a few months now and to say I haven’t tried to fix everything on it is not a lie I ended Up Paying About 5k For The Car At About 140 Thousand Miles and Its Been Okay So Far But The Main Issue Is That It Wasn’t A Wide Variety car that Infiniti Sold A lot Of. So the Main Issues For This Car Aswell As All Infiniti’s From this Year Go Asfollows 1 (PLASTIC VALVE COVERS) No Joke literally Will Cost You 300 US For Just For 1 side Cover Alone Not A Pair ALSO Not Included With Anything Else To Seal It Or The Spark Plug Tubes That Run Through It. 2 Headlights If You Have AFS It Cost 500 Bucks Just For 1 side 1000 For a pair and that’s Not Including Installation. 3 Transmission/ The Transmission Is A Bit Weak So Don’t Romp On It Back In 06 The Car Came With 340 ish HP And After Whoever You Bought It From Has probably Never Changed the fluid or maintained it they are prone to breaking The Torque converter And Infiniti Dosnt Sell A Replacement So That Means Aftermarket And Since Not A Whole Lot Of Ms The Year Where Sold There Are NONE. Which means a transmission replacement. The infinity does not make any more with 0 miles so it means overpaying for a used one That’s Probably No Better Interior Is Prone To Scratch’s On The Leather Unless Fully Maintained And Conditioned The Mass Air Flow Sensors Are Prone To Failing So Be Prepared to waste 146 Bucks Timing chains And Crank Shaft Senors Are Also Prone To Failing So Almost Yearly Be Prepared To Waste 3 to 400 Bucks. Other than that the cars drive Nice And Handle Pretty Well. It’s Like Driveing A BMW Almost The Steering Is Heavy And You Can Feel The Road A Good Bit Through The Steering Wheel. The Car If Properly Takein Care Off Is Pretty Quick About 0 to 60 in 7 ish Seconds On A Good Day.

Well, this is a great car.
Pros

It's a great car fast and smooth.

Cons

The paint is peeling of to bad.

This is a great car I love it and I dislike to have to sale it... it's a beautiful car, unfortunately have to get rid of it, my family is getting big so there's no room for all of us.

Sharp, fast, and fun
Pros

Solid, quality feel, fast, fun to drive

Cons

Wheels damage more easily, dash can deteriorate

Just a great driving car all around. Very quick and fun to drive. Well put together with a solid feel to it. Loaded with features i.e. Bose stereo, lane departure warning, intelligent cruise, DVD player, heated and cooled seats, steering-linked adaptive Xenon headlights, tilt/telescope steering wheel, keyless start, LED taillights, etc. Mine is the M35X version, the X meaning all-wheel drive of course. Infiniti recommends premium fuel, but regular can be used without adverse results (I use premium), unlike the V8, M45 model. The V8 model has direct injection as well, which can require more maintenance eventually i. e. intake path cleaning. The leather seating surfaces are nice and of good quality, mine has the Graphite (black) interior. The paint is great as well, mine is Diamond Graphite and looks stunning. Though it is pushing 15 years old, this M35 still looks competitive in today's market.

4th Infiniti owned
Pros

Better interior than same year bmw, lexus

Cons

Bad on gas. 20mpg highway 18 city V8 model

I have own 2 G35, 1 35, and lastly 2009 M45. The M45 Is definitely nicer interior than the G35. Great horsepower but I feel the G35 handles betteramd gets better MPG. I bought the car at 115k miles and now have 268k miles. If you take care of it the car will last for a long time. I've only had 2 major problems and 1 was my fault. Hit a big object on the highway and cracked the oil pan. On the V8 model you can't just replace the pan like on the M35 V6 model. The engine has to be lifted. I ended up fixing it with JB weld $6 and it's held over a year. 2nd issue was a blown head gasket without it overheating at 260k miles. (No oil coolant mixture but fails pressure test and head gasket radiator exhaust gases test. Most cars don't make it over 175k. I am mechanically inclined and fixed the head gaskets myself. A tough job and would have sold the car if I didn't know how to work on them since it's a labor intensive for a shop to fix so would be around $2k. Anyways, keep your fluids changed regular. The engine and transmission are solid. The M models do not have many aftermarket parts but the basics can be bought at NAPA or Autozone. Infiniti are starting to use CVT transmissions now so I don't know if I will keep buying them but as of now they are my go to brand.

Best Vehicle Ever Owned
Pros

Great design, features and engine.

Cons

Repairs can be a bit pricey.

This car comes loaded with so many "modern" features that it's hard to believe this was built in 2006. Amazing engineering feat went into the design of the M35x that I find it difficult to believe that all of these features are just now becoming "standard" today. Brilliant comfort and driving experience with an incredibly powerful engine. Absolutely fun car to drive!
