Positive Review
I forgot how much I missed a sports car to zip around town in. The turbo is great , ride is smooth and feel of the road. I love everything about this car and also has plenty of room for packages and luggage. Highly recommend. I also own the Tuscon SUV.
Critical Review
Built cheaper than a tin can. Already getting ready to trade it in. This car is not reliable transportation. Has to many concerns going on.

Both heated seats, rooftop window, 3 doors
The back seats are small
I bought this back in 2020 and I fell in love because of the engine noise and the features it came with
Reliable, Stylish
Low to the ground, Replacement parts expensive
I bought this car in 2020, used with 40k miles on it. Pros: Reliable. At 111,000 miles now it is still running great. No mechanical or engine problems yet. Just regular oil changes, tire rotations, etc. Neutral: Gas mileage averages 25-29 mpg. Which is good, but my old 1997 Geo Prizm averages the same. You would think my 2019 Veloster would have better gas mileage than my 1997 Geo Prizm right? Cons: Internal Tire Pressure Reader: The internal tire pressure reader is always reading my tire pressure as low, but every time I check, the tire pressure is fine. So the “tire pressure low” light is always on. Cost of Parts: I had to replace my bottom engine cover and my radiator support system and it was very expensive ($1200 total) because I could only go to the dealership for this. Turns out, a lot of parts can only be replaced at the dealership. Personal Preference Cons: This car is too low to the ground! Not enough ground clearance for me and my terrible driving lol. I’ve scraped the bottom far too many times. The engine cover came loose and broke from dragging. I replaced it, but then it came loose again, and I haven’t been able to afford replacing it again. Another personal con: there are blind spots in the back and I just don’t have the same spacial awareness driving this, as I did driving my Geo Prizm. Another personal con: it turns out, I wish it had 4 doors lol. I thought 3 doors was quirky and cool but now I’m sometimes annoyed by my lack of fourth door. Another personal con: I loved the center console in the back seat, but when I needed 5 people to fit in my car and could only fit 4, I wished the center console wasn’t there. And the night I had to sleep in my car, I definitely wished that center console wasn’t there, preventing me from laying down in the backseat. But my backseat riders always love the center console! They have drink holders that are very convenient!
The Veloster N with the Performance Package is an absurdly entertaining little pocket rocket that packs decent practicality and a wildly entertaining driving experience into an affordable and unique package. Exterior styling follows the existing Veloster formula but with the details turned to 11. The profile is much the same as the first generation car, with chunky squat bulldog proportions, while the huge spoiler, low profile tires, aero fences and touches like the Lamborghini like taillights and triangular CHMSL announcing the car's sporting mission. The interior is a bit dour and dark, but has pops of the N signature light blue color to elevate it. The plastics are hard l, but like the rest of the interior are very functional and wear well. The real raison d'etre for the car is in the drive. Being able to adjust the suspension, throttle response, traction/stability aids and exhaust means you can take the car from mild commuter to a wild snorting and popping track or autocross star with a few presses of the steering wheel-mounted buttons. On the track or otherwise being driven hard, the car encourages you to push harder and faster and nothing holds you back save for the limits of your own bravery - the car is communicative and 'alive' and can carry an absurd amount of speed through turns and is steerable with the throttle. If you dial all of that stuff back, it's just a comfortable commuter. Reliability for me over the last four years has been excellent, with no problems save for some peeling clearcoat on the wheels (a known issue resolved for free by the dealer). Beyond that, the Veloster N has been an easy car to live with. Comfortable seating for the people up front and room for two in back for short trips combine with the practical hatchback form factor to make it reasonably usable day to day and perfectly suitable as your only car (that also happens to be track-ready right off the lot). Everyone should own a car like this at one point in their lives - it's the sort of machine that makes you a lifelong car enthusiast even if you weren't before while being good enough at the other stuff to use as a daily driver.
Could benefit from a little more top end power, more front camber and a little less body roll. Is less idiot proof than the accord of same year but is also more fun. Ride quality isn't as bad as they say. Anti lag is awesome and isn't too loud Great ctr competitor for 10k less.
Excellent small car
It might be hard for someone older to get in and o
It’s the sportiest most fashionable small car with best gas mileage I have ever owned. It’s first in its class. Runs excellent we have never had a problem out of ours. A deer hit the first one I had and went back and bought another one just like it.
Racecar
Have to go aftermarket if you want leather seats
The car only has a cloth interior option but other than that it is 5 stars across the board. I have owned my veloster N for 2 years and its a racecar that has never even once had an issue.
FUN FUN FUN

BY far performance is impressive! Super fun to drive, recommend upgrading factory tires to improve traction. Suspension you feel everything in N mode but that's a given.
excellent handling, gives what it promises in adrenaline at the wheel in circuit racing!!! good value for money paid
