I have owned this car for 2 1/2 years (purchased used with 20,000miles) . I was always a die-hard "Big Three buyer" and never thought in a million years I would buy a Hyundai! They have come very far. Great quality inside and out. It has had no mechanical issues and has 50,000 miles. I have the 4cyl. and no regrets there. It is not lightning fast, but if you are a normal driver and just need power to merge or pass you will be satisfied. I also own a SXT Dodge Charger and enjoy driving the Sonata more. No rattles, or lose exterior/interior parts that I have experienced from American sedans. Great in the snow, good gas mileage, comfortable ride, adequate room, nicely designed, and cheap to own and operate. I know I may sound like I am speaking about the perfect car. It certainly is no BMW, but for the price and most expectations of normal working people it will put a smile on your face. I sincerely hope you give this car a chance (new or used); Even if you are in the market for a Camry, Accord, Malibu etc. And have more money to spend then the Sonata stickers for, do your research and go test drive it!

Purchased w/35k miles, five years ago. Been reliable, good on gas mileage, affordable to own but has some flaws in quality. Cheap sound system due to poor circuitry design and quality. Poor body insulation resulting in excessive road noise. Passenger seat sets very low making for poor vision and comfort but do like the fully adjustable driver's seat. With routine maintenance and upkeep, is affordable and reliable vehicle with nice features (power seat, sunroof, decent sound quality from stereo), solid suspension and handling. Plenty of passing power when needed. Like the shiftronic auto/manual transmission system. Would classify as a good value for those wanting average quality without spending a lot but who exercise good care & maintenance practices.

I have owned this car for 16 years bought new off the lot. . It’s been a great car and I’ve only had it in the shop maybe 5 times in almost 18 years. I’d highly recommend this car if it has been taken care of as I have taken care of mine.
Having a salvage vehicle auto insurance is extremely high.
Drives great
Needs some TLC on exterior, but not that bad
New tires all around New brakes, rotors alignment New Control arms New AC compressor and refrigerant New oil change Ugly on the outside but over 6000$ under the covers. Best running/driving car I have. Must drive.

I JUST SOLD MY CAR TO THE JUNKYARD AFTER HAVING IT FOR 12 YEARS! VERY AWESOME CAR AND I WILL MISS IT. SOMEONE HIT AND RUN (SIDESWIPED) MY CAR. LOTS OF DENTS, AND NEED BODY WORK BUT ENGINE RUNS GREAT! 187,500 MILES BUT CAN GO UP TO 250K IF NOT 300K I BELIEVE.

The car has been barely driven in the last few years i had it but the few trips i took ot on been great. I do take it to the shop to do oil change as needed and keep up pn the nick nacks
