Critical Review
(1) It broke down on the highway about 3 weeks ago 90 miles from home and is still in the shop for a hybrid system failure. They said there was another one their for the same/similar problem. At least it is under warranty and they are paying for the rental car. (2) Prior to that it was in Hyundai Service 11-13 times for the check engine light on. Hyundai service could not figure it out repeatedly, but reset the light. They tried to blame me several times, saying there must be something wrong with my home charger, which was professionally installed for about 1500 and another 150 to have it checked by another electrician. My impression is that this is their first plug-in hybrid and have not worked out the bugs.

Value and Performance
Some lower quality interior work
I was lucky to find one available in WA as it was not solid new here. Outstanding vehicle, I have the limited so all the bells and whistles are installed. Overall the all electric range has been a pretty consistent 30 miles which gets me to and from work without electrical use at all. Handles well and is a nice long drive when needed.
Good on gas especially if you plugin.
Engine Failure, android auto doesn't remain sync
If you are looking to recover your cost of gas this car is for you. In 5 years I definitely recovered my cost. Some months I only filled up once. Do I live within 30 miles of my employer yes, barely, 28 miles. Often times I would drive back on "gas" and end up using electric for most of the drive. (Not much acceleration). However.... My engine went and had to be replaced. I was 12k under 100k. So it was covered. Definitely keep all receipts and service documents you will need it. It did take 3 months for my engine to come in. They only covered 2 of my payments... kinda... still haven't received my money yet. Like i said it is complicated.
Comfortable, Quiet, High Tech, Fuel Efficient
Trunk Space, Blinker volume.
As the title suggests you can imagine what I am about to write. If your looking for an unbiased mire liberally approached review of this vehicle scroll down. You won’t get that here. I have not a single thing.. ok maybe one thing.. bad to say about my sonata. I could go on for days telling you everything I love about it but I will spare you the time. This car is honestly the greatest investment I’ve made. Especially as gas prices are so high these days I can’t imagine life without it. I get around 1200 miles per tank of gas and visit the pump about ever month and a half. Not to mention the reliability has been great as well. Of course with a mileage of around 56k (unless you drive a dodge) you should expect nothing less than zero maintenance issues. Like I said, I could go on but just know this car is worth every penny to me and I hope it would be for you as well. Lastly, as others have said the only thing it lacks is trunk space. If you can handle that it will be worth your while. I promise.
Ride, features, fuel economy, rear seat leg room
The trunk is small because of the hybrid battery
Very quiet and comfortable as a commuter or for long trips across the state. Lots of nice features in my Limited Edition including adaptive cruise control. That allows you to set your cruise control speed but the car will slow down if the traffic in front of you does. Heated and cooled seats are very nice. The Blind spot detection will warn you in different ways before you change lanes into someone. The dash layout is very clean and classy looking. Performance is very good when you take it out of the Econ mode. You can even shift manually if you want to keep it in a lower gear for a bit more torque. Great mileage especially if you charge it at home and have a reasonable commute. I get 600 miles on the 12 gallon tank frequently.
Quiet and smooth driving with 27 miles on electric
only front wheel drive and no fold down read seats
If are looking for a Camry size car that is a plug-in hybrid then this is the car for you. Supremely quiet and comfortable and a joy to drive. Plus you get 27 miles on the batteries alone which is (at Denver electric rates) less than half the cost of gasoline. And if your trip is longer than 27 miles then it automatically goes into hybrid mode and will get 38-40 mpg on the highway. Great car!!!
Gas style
Trunk
The only issue is cargo space other wise love it
Lots of standard features.

Very safe and roomy.
