Positive Review
I have had the car for a month and am very pleased. It is the SE or mid range model and it has all that I need. Hyundai put a great deal of effort into this vehicle and it shows. 50 mpg on a trip to the country and handles well on curvy roads as well as the highway. In smart drive pickup and handling work fine when needed. I use eco. mode around town and it is more than adequate. Seats 5 adults comfortably with excellent AC and sound system. With Apple Car play who needs a navigation option. All is easy and fairly intuitive to set up with easy customization. I prefer the comfortable cloth seats especially in summer. The car drives like a near luxury car at a very reasonable price and of course the warranty can't be beat and it included 3 years of basic service. Absolutely no regrets.
Critical Review
At 13,900 miles the engine is overheating. Inspection discovered all coolant had leaked from coolant reservoir. GPS voice doesn’t work requiring a software update that is not available. Front bumper fascia is flimsy and will separate due to normal wear.

While we can't provide a longterm review, what we can provide is our initial experience with the 2025 Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid we just purchased. This car is underrated in style and comfort. We are a household that has owned two Elantra limiteds, a Veloster Turbo, and a SantaFe Sport Limited and this is by far one of the most comfortable vehicles to date (and in its class in our opinion). The interior and technology simply makes you feel like you are driving a car that costs $20k more and the quiet cabin is surprising. We also considered an Accord and the Camry, but the overall ride and styling of the Sonata, inside and out, just won us over. MPG really can't be observed until after about 4k miles (engine break-in period) but we are currently on target to getting 580 miles on our first tank of gas - that is insane. The ambient lighting on the dash and driver/passenger doors is a nice touch also. Reading other reviews from people in the auto field, we were expecting ho-hum acceleration, but we've found it more than adequate and the transmission along with engine to hybrid switching is great - very smooth. If our current experience holds up long-term, this will be both a great day-to-day car and a great road trip vehicle thanks to the ride quality and MPG.
LOVE My 2024 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. IT Has all the bells and whistles except one.. NO self retracting side mirrors. But has everything else you would want. A firm and quiet ride based on the road surface. Feels secure and Tight. It was super Easy to set up all the digital items such as Radio..Sirius etc> It has all the safety features including a front nose camera so you don’t hit a low concrete sidewalk or parking block. It has small warning lights that pop on when some one is off your hip either side and not quite in your side view mirror yet. It has push buttons which I LOVE. My prior vehicle was all a digital dash. It my experience that You cannot drive a car and be fumbling with touch screens. Or you have to push some three times to get what you want. All while driving. This 24 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid in my view is as good as I have ever purchased and I have owned many new cars in my life!!! Go for it.

Miles per gallon
Seats not comfy for long trips
I took a risk and purchased a 2023 Sonata Hybrid Limited with 18k miles on her. I read allot of nightmare reviews but I figured after 18k miles and being certified, all the bugs (if any) were gone. The purchase process was seamless. The next day I took a 600 mile road trip from Pittsburgh to Boston. No issues. Averaged 42 mpg with the A/C on most of the way. I will update my review as the miles pile on.
Fuel Economy
material quality
Fuel economy is very good. My current average is 45+ mpg. My decision to buy this car is completely logical in terms of price-benefit. As I used it, I realized that I made the right decision. It is unreasonable to expect super comfortable seats or high interior material quality for the money you pay. I'll see how durable it is in the long run.
good mileage, good looks
not pleasant for long trips, cheap materials
we have purchased 4 hyundai vehicles and this hyundai sonata hybrid has given us the most trouble by far. this car has fiberboard panels on the underside and while entering a business our car rubbed the bottom and caused one of the panels to pull loose as they are held on by cheap clips. took the car to a hyundai center for repair and was told that this is a common problem and hyundai will not warranty this item. cost to repair / replace 1 piece of the panel is approximately $550.00. the car does get good fuel mileage. the panels being pressed fiberboard will come loose.
I got T boned by a big SUV. All the airbags deployed and I escaped without any injuries at all. I am shocked I survived without any injuries. Hyundai Sonata saved my life. I highly recommend it.
Big and roomy and great gas mileage
Hesitates and I got stranded. Engine light came on
I love this car but it broke down on me. A little over a year old. The engine light came on. I needed a new converter and it damaged the spark plug. It took over a week to get parts with no loaner car. The chrome on the inside dash reflects into your eyes. The cloth seats show dirt. The mileage is amazing 63 mpg the other day. My car still hesitates at times. Not sure if I might have a defective car. We shall see.
