Positive Review
I spent 4 weeks researching and finally made the decision to purchase a 2021 Santa Fe Calligraphy. I've had it for about 3 weeks now. Although not a certified luxury SUV it certainly rivals the smooth ride and bells and whistles that luxury SUV's offer at about $10k - $15k less. I cannot rave enough about the vehicle. I previously had an Audi and Infiniti. The Santa Fe Calligraphy is super sleek inside and out. I feel so safe driving it because of all the safety and technological features. It's even semi-autonomous on the highway. Great warranty and 3 years of complimentary maintenance. Test drive one today if you haven't. You won't be disappointed. Wish list: I wish it had the 20 inch rims but they were on backorder. I wish the ambient lighting was also on the door panels and not just on the console and glove area. I wish it had a rotary control knob for the infotainment screen.
Critical Review
The car is great on the interior and exterior. I just do not like the noise of the engine. I wanted to trade it in for a Palisade at 200 miles. I would have taken a beating.

I brought the car over a week ago and have been happy with the service, the dealership, and the financing. As you all know car buying can be a bit of a complicated process and confusing process. I was made at home, receiving quality attention and fabolous service. The vehicle and dealership are to be commended.
Black top of line 2.5 Turbo 9000 miles top of line black leather sunroof rack with extra warranty on all parts
Bought my Santa Fe Limited Aug last year 2023. My first Hyundai ever. This ride has very impressive acceleration and fuel efficiency. Has a luxurious ride and handles really well. Great cabin space. Feels much bigger that it is and I will say its the largest vehicle to day I have ever owned. I don't feel the bumps when riding on rough roads. It really handles well and very impressed when in Sport mode. I usually keep it in leanring mode for the most part. The 10.25-inch screen is a nice feature. A little slow sometimes reponse wise when going through the screens. You have to plug in your phone for apple CarPlay which is a downer for me. The drivfer aids are so many and can sometimes be alittle annoying but for the safety keep you very alert when driving. One thing I which Hyundai would add is the ability to use your remote to open and close the windows and the moonroof. I little feature that Mini uses and its a game changer to me. I get about 30 miles per gallon. A little shy of the 32 I need for work for Effeciency Vehicles. (probably need a side car for work) . Hyundai's five-year/60,000-mile basic and 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranties are good and much better than any of my previous vehicles. and the dealer added three years of free scheduled maintenance. I would have like 4 LOL. My 2023 is the last year before the new 2024 model hit the market. I am very happy this this version. The new model would have been too big for me. I read that the there may be vibration issues. I did experience that after some time a at my first service. I mentioned it and they checked my rotars an resurfaced them and I havent any issue since. I think Hyundai is aware of it. I will just make it note to have to check my rotars on the next service just to be sure. Over all, a very nice performance vehicle. Not a go back and forth to work vehicle for me. but a great highway vehicle long distance for sure. The only piece I wish I had of gotten was all wheel drive. Maybe on the next purchase. I gave it a 4 star rating. just because, there are some things they could of added and done better. Carplay. Remote access to open and close windows and roof and some others. Satisfied with this vehicle.
Comfort, Quietness, Saftey Features
Wireless Charger overhears my phone. I dont use it.
I have had my 2023 Calligraphy for almost 2 years and I am still in love. I do a ton of highway and long distance driving, and it is VERY comfortable. Road noise is minimal. I also love all the safety features it comes with. This is my 4th gen Santa Fe and after seeing in person the 2024 model, i am so glad i got my 2023.
We have had this car for a little over 18 months now and absolutely hate it. While it's a great car to drive, its reliability is terrible. We've had nothing but problems with the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). It has been in the shop six times for a total of 20 days, and that's only counting the times we managed to keep the MIL on. The issue started about four months or 6,000 miles into owning the car. The light would come on, so naturally, we would call and make a service appointment. Multiple times, we took it in only to have the light go off before we got there. We finally learned that if the light came on, we needed to immediately drive it to the dealer so they could see the light. Additionally, after having the car for a couple of months, we returned from a trip and tried starting the car. It wouldn't start, and this has now happened three times. Fortunately, the last time it happened, it was at the dealer for another MIL issue. We had hoped this would be a great car for us, but right now, I have no faith in its long-term reliability.
Speed sensor failed at 22k miles, not the car i would recommend for reliability since components fail that early
Materials are very cheap
The cheap plastic front bumper breaks so easily and when it does you also have to have the camera replaced. Very costly. I will never buy another Hyundai. We bought this one because we had so many problems with the other one. Thought it was just a bad car. Never again. Cheap, Cheap, Cheap
