Positive Review

"NICE"

When I went to check out the santa fe I was waiting to be disappointed... I even tried to find something wrong with it. Well I found something alright. It was a SUV that is well worth your money. My wife loved it from the get go... not me I didn't like the styling and the cloth seats were very uncomfortable. but the leather seats changed all that. other than those minor hang ups the vehicle is closely compared to a lexus. I use to be a valet ... I've driven everything and know whats if it's worth the cash. so if you are to drop some coin on this SUV might as well get it with all the bells and whistles...do not settle!!!! oh and with all the saftey features your insurance should go down to. I don't normaly rave about cars but you get a lot for what you pay for...and you don't pay that much. well done hyundia!

VS

Critical Review

"Engine shot at 115K miles...."

Despite proper maintenance and oil changes I find myself 15K miles out of warranty with a bad engine. My research found that Hyundai extended the warranty, due to engine failure, for 2011-2012 Sonata's but not Santa Fe's despite the fact that the engine is made at the same plant! Don't buy 2011 or 2012 Santa Fe's or Sonata's! My mother's 2011 Sonata, with 68K miles, just blew up last week.

Santa Fe All The Way... 17 years counting!!!
Pros

Style is timeless, seat heaters

Cons

Gas mileage

The Tuscon was my first choice until I arrived at the dealership and passed the 2007 Santa Fe... it was love at first sight 💝. 17 years later, I'm still in love with my car as Day One. About $8,000 over 240k miles in major repairs for radiator, control arm, leaky gasket into alternator, and O2 sensor. My Santa Fe has been very good to me 👏👏👏

Estimate for this vehicle

Looking for a 4-door sedan type, automatic transmission, good condition, no underbody rust, especially rocker panels and fenders.

Vvt system is not up to date with modern vehicles
Pros

Comfortable car

Cons

Not reliable

I wouldn’t pay more then 2500 for a nice one spent 5000$ on the one I bought and have had nothing but mechanical issues consistently.

I wish I could give this car 0 stars
Pros

Nothing

Cons

Repairs

I have only owned this car for two years and I have had SO many issues with it. One previous owner and car was in great shape, once it hit 100,000 miles everything went downhill. I was getting stranded in the middle of the night because it wouldn’t start. Had to replace the whole intake manifold. Now I am dealing with a flashing check engine light and a car that won’t go over 60 mph. Worst car ever and so unreliable. Save your money and buy anything but a Hyundai.
