Positive Review
If your shopping for a SUV and looking for luxury look to the santa fe hybrid limited. Watch the video reviews on this car there is no stick only buttons fully loaded AWD and very comfortable leather seats and well designed vehicle. This car is so quiet it scares you and has so many safety features that you probably need to turn some off if your not used to it. it has lane assist with smart cruise control with a great radar system that keep you a safe distance from other vehicles. I have driven over 500 miles before filling up averaging 32 MPG city and freeway. This SUV is well worth the 42-45k upper model. Comes with wireless phone charger, heating and cooling seats including backseat heating. The leather design on seats are amazing, more safety features than ive ever seen. Its like Hyundai took a luxury car owner and asked that person what they prefer on next vehicle. Hyundai went deep on this vehicle if your looking for a SUV with MPG and a smooth TURBO engine that feels great. This is such a quiet car. Hyundai will have my business for a long time. Now go build a truck!!!
Critical Review
I purchased a brand new 21 Santa Fe hybrid in June of 21. My car has shut off driving down the highway, lost acceleration completely in a roundabout, has 16 registered codes, more than 50+ check engine lights that they can’t figure out, 2 recalls, several repairs, and has been sitting in the shop for more than two months with no solution.

Its a great car....totally what i needed
Love this car. Bought it for my son who is commuting to work an hour each way. He travels 550 miles on a tank. I use it on weekend trips. Love the technology, sound system and fuel economy. Very quick too.
smooth & quite ride
??
Best car to offer local electric ability and still runs on fuel for longer trips or long hauls. Interior is very nicely detailer and the seating and ride are comfortable as well. The whole family loves the vehicle and there is no downside, we have had the car for 2 1/2 years now so I is a allows for a far judgment.
Lots of features for the cost.
QC issues, dealer maint. issues lacking
We (wife's vehicle) own a 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Limited (1.6L turbo/$42k+) it has all the bells and whistles. Purchased new in Aug of 2021. While it is fun to drive and has a ton of safety features (cameras) and can dang near drive itself with its lane assist, smart cruise control, etc. Braking is a bit touchy, if I'm driving, I feel like I'm giving my wife or the passengers whiplash. But that's not my beef. My beef is with Hyundai and/or the dealerships. On Aug 2, 2022, the "Refill Inverter Coolant" indicator comes on. The first thing I do is look under the hood, via the manual, observe if this coolant is low, it is not. I look throughout the engine compartment and under the chassis just to make sure nothing obvious is happening (leaks and such), there is nothing. I call my dealership tell them about the this indicator and they can't schedule me until 3 weeks later, Aug 22. I ask, is it safe to drive? I'm told as long as the engine light don't flash I should be okay. On Aug 22, I take it in, I'm told by the service tech there is nothing they can do and is waiting for Hyundai to give them a resolution, what the heck. Fast forward to Jul 2023 (11 months later) my dealership can finally take care of the "refill inverter coolant" issue. But, I only find out after inquiring about it, during one of my many oil changes. Also, my rear hatch sometimes does not want to hatch properly. Meaning, it will not close and secure itself. I thought it might be something physical in the way. The back hatch area is empty and there is nothing observable in the latching mechanism. After closing it like over 10 times it finally decides to latch itself properly it has done the just a couple of times, but still worrisome. I told the dealer about this they simply said it's nothing they can do unless it was happening on-site. I understand this reasoning, but I'm wondering how common is this issue. My lastest gripe as of present (Apr 2024) is engine DTC P0471, I have been getting DTC since Feb 2024. The first 2 appoinments with the dealer they could find nothing wrong. On the 3rd visit (Mar 28, 2024) they replaced the DPFE Sensor (differential pressure sensor). The very next day the same engine DTC returned. I returned to my dealer on Apr 2 as a walk-in. After a number of excuses about something being active vs inactive, it hard for them to troubleshoot. They also mention their tech(s) were inquiring with Hyundai's tech support I ask if they needed to hold the vehicle would it help. I let them hold the vehicle, I finally get my vehicle back on 10 Apr. And to be honest, I doubt if they did anything other than drive approx. 18 miles & clear the code as I did not get any paperwork from them holding the vehicle for this time period (Apr 2-10). Not to mention I had to be pro-active as for the status of my vehicle. A tech was present and said he reconfigure such & such and Hyundai tech support said the only thing it could be was the DPFE sensor they replaced. The DTC returned the same day approx 10 miles into some city driving the DTC P0471 returned. I called no answer going to voicemail and return calls. I vistied them today 11 Apr and it appears the only option given is to set yet another appointment for the same problem they can't seem to repair. So now I'm to drop the vehicle off on Apr 17, 2024 for more diagnotics. I would think some supervisor or manager would notice the same customer coming in for the same thing within 6 to 8 weeks time...but who knows? And to add insult to injury, within this timeframe I received a cold call from the sales dept. trying to sale me on the new 2024 Santa Fe...SMH For our next vehicle I will look at other makes Toyota or mabe a Subaru...
Smooth ride, interior space, fuel efficiency
Few tech glitches, terrible dealership experience
My 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid Luxury is good because of the smooth drive, interior space, fuel efficiency, warranty etc. but I found a few glitches in the first 9 months of using a brand new model viz.: 1. Navigation suddenly stopped while in use and the system was not able to communicate with satellite (or whatever it tries to connect to), I stopped and restarted the vehicle but to no avail 2. Stop & Go technology works well for the most part except once the car did not stop/ reduce speed by itself when the vehicle in front stopped at a traffic signal. The crash alarm started sounding and hence I had to manually slam the brakes! This can be VERY DANGEROUS, so please keep an eye on how your cruise control function is working. FYI - The warranty is NOT 5 years / 60,000 miles for everything. E.g.: The navigation, audio, gear selector console is only covered for 3 years. For some reason Hyundai does not advertise that. I was fooled about this and found out on the day I was taking the delivery - GRRR.

Having no faith in my 40k car
I purchased a brand new 21 Santa Fe hybrid in June of 21. Quiet and safety features!
Relative a little bit low fuel efficiency
I drove about 1000 miles and satisfied with performance and safety features of this car. There is no transition roughness between gas and electric mode.
great mpg and very comfortable
almost to much tech--headache trying to learn all
The mpg was rated at 33 around town. How about 39/40 aroudn town. Yes, I baby it a little. I go the speed limit and avoid tramping on gasg. Very happy about mpg. Only negative--no sunglasses holder. The paint upcharge for white was a rip off other than that all appears as expected.
