Positive Review

"Best commuter car Ive ever owned 60+mpg"

I was skeptical of the mileage rating, but this car delivered. So far I get 600+ miles to the tank which is over 60 mpg. Its a beautiful looking car, the interior displays are well designed and I get all the info I want from them, It handles like a gem on the highway for my commute. I kick it into sport mode for some fun on the back roads and while Ive only had it a couple of months I am impressed with it so far. The sound system is real good I have no issues with it, it hooked up with my Android phone nicely and I can use all my phones functions from the large screen display. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

"Worst car I ever bought Hyundai ioniq hybrid"

Let me just start I bought a brand new 2020 Hyundai ioniq with 5 miles from the Hyundai dealership with the check engine light on.. and after going back in fourth for a few months they kept the car for 3 weeks not knowing what wrong with the brand new car and Hyundai would not give me my money back and sold me a lemon. And now I still have the car and now it's miss firing the car only 6 months old. Hyundai a joke never again will I buy a Hyundai. Junk cars

The best car ever designed.

From the outset eight years ago, in over 66,000 miles, no major mechanical issues, tracks perfectly, easy, handling, tight turn radius, good breaking, responsive AC/heater, paint like new, plus 60 MPG, which is more than manufacturer claims. A slight criticism, it's' too low to the ground and not easy to get into or out of the car. Probably not a car for a 200 lb driver. or passenger or anyone over 6 ft tall.

Worst car we've ever owned

Mechanical issues of all kinds since we bought it. The local dealership has been awful to deal with.

Great Car with Software Bugs
Pros

Quiet, great economy, ACC works great during rush hour

Cons

Trunk not synced with rest of doors in detecting key location. Can lock key in trunk.

The 2020 Ionic PHEV 4 Door Sedan is a very good car, but like so many cars today the kids who create the software for cars today need adult supervision! Why can the car detect the driver’s key and open the trunk lid, but you have to press a button to open the doors? Conversely, why does the car’s doors refuse to lock when the key is in the car but the key can be put in the trunk and the car will lock? I wonder how many irate Ionic owners have been caught with the phone and key locked in the trunk?

Perfect little car
Pros

Gas mileage out the wahzoo- looked normal

Cons

Road noise-

Yeah it has road noise and it can get uncomfortable after driving for 4 or so hours- so I have a cushion and lumbar pillow for that. As for the road noise- I turn up the radio. As far as anything else goes I have had ZERO problems with this thing and am at 40,000 miles. The gas mileage is on average (winter through summer) about 55mpg. I get as low as 48 and as high as 63. I paid 20K for this and it was a new dealer car with 1000 miles on it. The car is perfect for what it is. An unbelievable deal.

Excellent car recommend 10/10
Pros

fuel economy, reliability, spacious w/hatchback

Cons

loud road noise, doesn't come with spare tire

Good things: Fuel economy, clean and simple, hatchback room for filling car full of your stuff, slick look, no issues at 90,000+ miles. Could be better: road noise is super loud in cabin (probably due to simple, light weight design) so I wear airpods while driving to mitigate noise and easily answer phone calls. Car dealerships don't sell a spare tire with it (why?). This car doesn't necessarily pin you to your seat when you accelerate so don't buy it to drag race but honestly it's the best commuter I've had and seriously have had zero issues. Obviously small things wear out like every car but this car gets a 5 star rating nothing less.

This hybrid IS the Prius killer!
Pros

Prius killer

Cons

None

I tried driving a Prius and it seemed OK but lacked apple CarPlay, the styling wasn’t as appealing and was more expensive. The 6 speed DCT is superior to Toyota’s CVT in my opinion. I bought this white 2019 SEL trim used with under 19k miles in late 2020. I now have 37.5k miles on it. The only problem I had was the windshield washer fluid pump went out and they replaced it under the awesome warranty. None of the competitors offer a 5 year 60k bumper to bumper warranty. Here in south Florida I easily get 54-57 mpg with mostly city driving. Follow the maintenance schedule and this car should last a long time.

56 -58 miles per gallon!!
Pros

Gas Mileage, comfort, reliability and performance

Cons

none

I love my Ionic hybrid!! I have had no problems with this car. I get 58 MPG on the freeway. The ride is comfortable. The seats wipe clean with a wet cloth. The hatchback is quite spacious and the back seats can fold down if you need more room. Great car!!

Super efficient - surprising range!
Pros

Handles well, very efficient, good range @ quality

Cons

MUST plan long distance trips for recharging

Bought it used in Pittsburg PA, drove it 1,800 home to south texas - SUPER efficient! Averaged 5.6 miles per kilowatt. Getting 200 miles per charge (instead of the advertised 170miles) going 65 mph with the Driver side A/C on and radio on.
