Positive Review

"Best deal on a luxury car - bar none"

Debated on BMW 7 series and Audi A8. I through out the Lexus almost immediately - did not like the seating. The BMW and Audi have some fantastic features not found on the Equus but they were nearly 50% more. The Equus is incredibly comfortable, loaded with features, extremely powerful engine, and more.

Critical Review

"Beware of Equus customer service"

Just got my Equus 8/17/12. Traffic part of navigation was not working out the door. Called Sirius customer service, who told me they could not fix it, and that in 7-10 business days, someone would call me to address the issue! Next, I called the Equus service line. Was told by the first agent, Kristin, this was not Hyundai's problem, nothing they could do! I spoke to supervisor Mike, who told me basically the same thing. Three days later, I called Hyundai again, supervisor Maryanne said the same thing-not Hyundai's problem. Actually Maryanne spent more time making excuses for Sirius than anything. She told me I should wait to hear back from Sirius. When I pressed her on whether she thought Sirius' response to me of 7-10 business days to get a call back was reasonable, she told me she could not say, as she was not an expert in that product! I expect Hyundai to stand behind their product, especially the Equus. Instead, every person I spoke with at Hyundai has immediately passed the buck to Sirius and refused to help. I would expect them to replace the unit or lean heavily on Sirius to fix this timely. No such luck and no one at Hyundai seems to care.

Most complete car

This is the best family car you could ever buy. I have had Benz and Jaguar, but this’s by far a better car. Beautiful with unlimited options. After almost ten years still as good as first day. Runs smooth with so much ease and control. After a simple wash, it looks as good as a fancy car. Its interior design is marvelous. The most interesting option is rear seats ladies makeup mirror.

Pros

Fit and finish, luxurious interior, amazing AV sytem , uniqueness

Cons

AC vents blow on the steering wheel

We were looking for a comfortable highway cruiser when we purchased our low mileage 2013 Equus signature package. We had test driven a 2013 S550 previously. Driving this car felt like driving the S class. For all the features it has, it was a steal! My favorite feature is the messaging front drivers seat. We enjoy people looking at it trying to figure out what it is. We also get excellent fuel mileage, 28 mpg on our highway trips! All in all, an amazing vehicle and I definitely recommend it!

Air suspension needed replacement at 100,000 miles

I’ve had this car for 3 years and it’s incredible. The rear seat is like being in a Rolls Royce. Heated, cooled

Terrific car
Pros

Body lines are timeless,

Cons

Electronic steering is sensitive

We've had ours for 10 years and have had very few days in the shop. Great looking car, we still get compliments. The onboard electronics were far ahead of it's time. Very comfortable for driver and passengers.

suspension problems

I love this car. having said that I would be reluctant to purchase another. The car still looks very good after 7 years and the engine performance is great. I have however had to replace the entire suspension system twice, the second time only 22 months since the first replacement (and only 18,ooo miles) The cost was originally $4,500 each time but the dealership got Hyundai to pay $1200, even still unless that 2years I had to pay over $6,000 with no gaurentee it won't happen again. To bad because in rvery other way I have loved this car. 4

Well kept secret
Pros

The all wheel drive burns more gas

Cons

2 wheel drive is not standard you must hit the but

This is the best full size luxury car on the market, it has the luxury of a mercedes S500. But can use regular gas same performance better technology in their older model than benz newer models. Air suspension better, maintenance cheaper,I love the car.
