Positive Review

"Small car with big car space"

We just bought our limited elantra and have had it for about a week. So far we have been impressed with it so far and hope it will hold up long term. Our first hyundai so we took a leap of faith in the brand as their products are starting to be class leading. Still concerned about ivt transmission and if it will last. Will follow up with a long term review at 6 months Pros +Design is fresh, +Interior layout feels elegant and also makes sens, +Tech works the way it should, +Everything inside fits together we'll, +Good headlights, +Simple controls, + Big back seat, + Front seat has ample legroom ever for people over 6 feet, + Good visibility, ........... Cons Some interior plastics should be better even for this class. Arm rest do not have padding or very little. This can be fixed with minimal cost by hyundai. . For a limited model no memory seats or ventilated seats. Only offered on the hybrid limited model. not sure why limited models get different equipment. Highway bumps are well absorbed but the noise can get tiresome. Digital key does not work as well as advertised. We still can't get 2 people set up even after calling bluelink support. No full screen android auto. Defeats the big screen.

A lot of Features that feel like a high end car
Pros

Fuel economy, phone charging station, roomy quite fast, lots of tech features

Cons

No back seat cup holders, no electric mirrors floorboard is a little cheap

I use to drive 2013 Kia Optima loaded. I bought my Elantra SEL with the convenience pkg and was pleasantly surprised with all the features - a charging station and all the comfort features that my KIA had but for $25k a lot lower. It’s a fast car and drives very smooth and feel super sporty. The most impressive thing has been the fuel efficiency. I get 35-45 mpg in the city and 45-60 hwy. My Optima got 35 HWY! I fill my tank every 10 days instead of every 3 days like I use to do. And this car isn’t even a hybrid! The trunk in really roomy and so is the back seat. The cons tho is I wish I had cup holders in the back seat and and I wish my mirrors were electric and folded in. I have to manually fold them.

Excellent car
Pros

Great all around car. It can go from smooth economy car to an all out track weapon at the push of a button. Great MPG. A blast!

Cons

The need for Octane learning, to feel it's full potential. A tune will remedy that issue though.

For the price, this car has it all. It truly feels special. I got mine with the DCT (Auto Transmission) and I really enjoy it. In Eco mode the car drives very soft and smooth. Getting mud 30s MPG is not hard at all in Eco mode. Great for road trips. Regular mode is a bit more responsive, the steering and shifts are a bit sharper, with still a smooth ride. Sport mode can be set to your personal preference. Personally I have mine side right down the middle of N mode and Regular. So again it's a bit more responsive over the Regular mode, the exhaust tone gets louder and deeper, shifts faster and the suspension gets stiffer. Then N mode. It feels like a completely different car. Steering is very sharp. Shifts are lightning fast and the exhaust comes to life with pops can bangs. The fast shifts mixed with the exhaust note is addictive. The suspension becomes flat and stiff, down shifts are fast and right on time. It's a track weapon. The dash display changes for each mode if you choose it to (and i did). The interior looks more high end than you would think. The seats are sports and wonderful. So many features to list, but i will say, the more you drive it the more little things you notice that surprise you at this price point. Yes I fully recommend this car. Over 13k miles on it (7 months) and i enjoy it more now then the day I bought it.

Amazing Sport Commuter Car
Pros

Cost of ownership, Reliability, Drivability. Comfort.

Cons

Needs more power out of factory

Bought an N-Line new in 2022. My goal was reliability when buying this car. The N-Line is perfect for someone who is looking for a reliable sporty compact sedan; I honestly have no complaints about this car. Drives incredibly smooth; decently quick, handles very well, looks great, feels great being in any seat position in the car, decent boot space, fair maintenance cost, amazing on fuel economy. All of my boxes were checked, maybe other than lack of power, but ill save that for the next sports car ill own. My N-Line is still running amazing at 52,000, stay on top of your maintenance and the car will reward you with a great drive every time you step in. If your in the market for a sport economy car, this is defiantly a fantastic choice.

Corrosion in the first month

Only 450 miles on a new car and the dash displayed collision warning lights, low tire pressure, no turn signal indicators and went black. The vehicle spent 10 days at a certified Hyundai dealership while they and the factory tried to determine the cause. After the whole dash assembly and drivers console were removed, a "corroded" wire in the wiring harness was discovered and repaired. Make one wonder how does corrosion get in the wiring harness of a new car, and are there more wires affected, and how many other new Hyundai vehicles may have the same problem lurking. Hyundai America has refused to take this lemon back. This is my family's third and "last" Hyundai product.

Much more than I hoped for
Pros

Fuel mileage, price, spacious

Cons

No lumbar support in SEL

I’ve had this car about 9 months so far, mines just a SEL and it gets about 40 mpg city and 50+ highway! From everything I had seen and had been told this car would at best do 40 highway, but I recently took it on a 2400 mile road trip and got 50+ mpg while being comfortable the whole time. Love this car and every day I’m happier with my decision of buying it.
