Positive Review
I have owned my Elanatra for 11 months, have 14,000 miles on it, combined highway & city, gas mileage consistently 33-34. Just had an accident where someone pulled out of a median in front of me. I was traveling 55 mph when I hit the SUV. I believe the Elantra is totaled, but I have walked away with only a few sore muscles! The car performed as engineered! THANK YOU HYUNDAI! The front end crumpled, and the air bag deployed. Nothing inside the interior of the car was damaged, saving me from certain injury. I will certainly replace my Elantra with another one as soon as possible! My only minor complaint is with the stiffness of the seats. I travel an hour each way to work, and wish the seats were a little cushier. Thanks again for your safety features, Hyundai!
Critical Review
My wife and I had heard quite a bit about how these 2011 Elantras. So we did our research and went to see one at a local delaership for a test ride. At the visit we decided not to buy it. Here's a summary about what we thought of this car. Good: - Trunk is very big. - Price is affordable. - Has avery good warranty. - Base model comes with a ton of features (bluetooth, XM radio, alloy wheels etc) - base model has electronic stability control and traction control). - A lot of leg room. Bad: - Handling is just plain bad. I don't know if this was a problem with just that one car or what, but it was bad. I had a to make constant adjustments to keep the car in the lane. On highway it was very floaty. If you have driven a 2011 Civic, you'll know the difference. - Steering wheel doesn't feel smooth. Feels like I was driving my old '88 Sentra without power wheel! - No spare tire. Are you kindding me!!! - Back seat is not good for tall people. The roof slants very low and your head touches it. - Rear middle seat is bumpy and not very comfortable. It simply did not feel like a safe car to drive on a freeway. Finally we decided to go with a '11 Civic, which costs a little more but has a proven reliability record and feels very safe and stable to drive.

I bought mine cheap last year with 311,00KM on the odometer. I've done the timing belt, water pump, drive belts, ignition leads and got a transmission service done as well. I have had no issues at all over the past year. It's also surprisingly efficient (Getting about 6.8 litres per hundred kilometres on highway). Even city driving is quite efficient (7.5L/100KM). I'm quite happy with the comfort and ride of the vehicle. I do wish my model came with cruise control though.
Great gas mileage, just had painted
No cons at all
I've had it 4 yrs. It has been a great car. It has a short on the door chime, instead of going through all the wiring, which is costly..i had a kill switch put on. Which has been great cause no one can steal it. Does not use oil. No other issues with this car.
I bought this car new in 2008. I have been very pleased with this auto. I maintain it and have very little problems. Highly recommend
I have owned this car for years now. I now have 250,000 miles on it. It is the most reliable car that I know of. Great on gas. Never required any major fixing besides routine things. It has lasted me this long and is still going strong.
None
Every last part
Took to Hyundai service for their pre purchase inspection told car was great and would last for 200,000 more miles so I went ahead and purchased. First month of owning 3 sensors go out. Convenient that I tried to do the responsible thing of keeping up on regular services through Hyundai service department only for something to go wrong immediately after each service. Including getting the battery checked told it’s great for it to die two weeks later, serpentine belt snapped, get it replaced and as I’m leaving dealership timing belt then snaps after they lied and told me it was fine. Get that repaired and heater no longer works. Now the transmission they told me was great has now gone out. Junkyard is coming to pick up car today. Will never own another Hyundai. Look up Hyundai service department reviews I’m far from the only person who has had these issues. Because of the constant cycle of issues I’ve only put 20k miles on the car in the 6 years I’ve owned it.
Dirty interior. Dented. Average condition.hjjjhhhhhassssssddfghhvvvggccvvvb hhbb hhbb. Bhggb.good luck
Easy to handle and zippy.
Ugly body style, not much leg room
Quick , efficient, without to much style. Overall a good practical car. Good first car for a novice consumer.
My Elantra has been reliable and a good car. That said, it's a one-owner car, and I've only driven it 54,000 miles. During the first year I owned it, BOTH of the window visors broke. The dealership replaced the first one but not the next one. I've been driving for 13 years with no passenger-side visor. Had been having brake problems just recently. Turns out it was the master cylinder AND the ABS sensor. $3,100 later....I'm not so sure how great this car is.
