Positive Review
This vehicle has been GREAT! OMG... can we talk about the turning radius?! The H3 can turn on a dime. It's more maneuverable than any other vehicle I've ever driven. It's a little wider than my Mercedes wagon, but I can park it in just about any parking space. The nearly 10" of vertical clearance makes any off-road adventure a breeze. This car LOVES the snow! It's been a VERY reliable car. I only have a couple complaints: 1) visibility out the rear. I'd suggest investing in a back-up camera. 2) Rear seats don't lay flat when folded down. This makes rear storage slightly restricted. 3) The stigma. I wish that people would do their homework before judging! My 5 cyl H3 gets better mileage than nearly ANY of the SUV's in the school parking lot. I added a K&N filter and I get approximately 21mpg highway and 17mpg city.
Critical Review
I own a 2007 Hummer H3 with 48k miles and I DO NOT RECOMEND BUYING THIS MODEL because there is a design flaw with the transmission cooler that is located inside of the radiator. GM is aware of this, but never issued a recall. Many Hummer H3's have been affected by it. When it goes bad, trans fluid & eng. coolant mix, your hummer will overheat and your automatic transmission will fail. If you are lucky and its under warranty, GM will repair it like they did mine. They installed a new radiator, trans cooler, supposedly repaired my trans and did a poor job at flushing the fluids. But it does not drive the same since this repair, and the transmission now shifts hard from 1st to 2nd, I have taken it back more than twice and they say there is nothing wrong with it (I suspect they are just stalling so that my warranty runs out). They flushed my engine several times, but I still see traces of fluid contamination. (GM should have installed a new engine & new transmission, instead of just repairing the original transmission. There is also an issue with the heads going bad in the 5 cyl engine and the intakes & fuel injectors tend to foul up as well. Rear visability is awfull, forget about being able back up a small trailer or jetski without adding a costly back up camera. I always wanted a Hummer, even though it looks great, performs well off-road, and has good acceleration, I wish I would have never got rid of my '06 Dodge Durango 4X4 (which never gave me any problems that the dealer didn't promptly resolve) for the H3. .GM DOESN'T STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES (I should have learned my lesson from the brand new saturn I bought back in '02 which turned out to be a lemon), GM can forget about me purchasing a new Chevy Volt that I had planned and I will not buy a GM product ever again. GM if you are reading this, here is the vehicle id number: 5GTDN13E178188581

These transmissions are complete disasters . 3rd and 4th gear ⚙️ always go out. I wish they would recall them.
Power with looks
Not a race car
Just like the Ford Bronco is a very collectible car right now, the Hummer H3 will prove to be a very collectible vehicle in the future. I own two right now with 500,000 miles total on the two cars combined. I have the 2006 and 2008 3.7 models. The doors can be taken off like a Jeep, but the doors are heavy duty. Jeep owners dare not to even look my way, even though that drop $10,000 in upgrades, I can still pull them down the road or up the hill. These cars are great in snow, sand and mud and the leather interior, with cold A/C and heated seats with big base stereo is a thrill to drive.

I feel so safe in my HUMMER H3. I have not had any issues with it whatsoever. I have the Luxury model, so it has the leather heated seats and chrome package. I keep the same standard size tires on it, instead of getting larger tires, because this way my MPG stays lower, at a consistent 18 MPG, which is mostly freeway driving.
Delight to drive. And can comfortably seat 5 adul.
I have had someone try to steal it 2 times.
This vehicle drives like a great suv and rides like a Mercedes. It handles well in mountains or beach. The interior is exquisite. It’s Moroccan Brown and trimmed in Ebony. The customized mats match the seats. They have a diamond patterned and each mat from front to cargo area have the H3 logo stitched in black. The engine is very clean and well taken care of. This car will carry anything and has towing package. It’s also great in the city or country. I still love this car every time I drive it and I always get many compliments. I can truly recommend anyone looking for a luxury suv and one for off road this is your car.
Fun to drive
It’s body is so hard that you are not afraid of having an accident. I love this car but I am leaving the country and I need to get rid of it
I love how the H3 is very spacious
The cost of gas when the gas prices are at peek.
I absolutely "LOVE" my Hummer H3 drives so smooth, looks sharp, classy,
185000 miles.........................
