Positive Review
This was my first Honda, purchased new in February 2006. I had previously owned an 05 Chevy Avalanche, an 04 Porsche Cayenne S, an 03 H2 Hummer, an 02 Mercedes ML500 and a 99 Mercedes ML 430. The Ridgeline has the road hugging grasp of the all wheel drive Cayenne S. While it does not have the 8 cylinder engine, I consider the ride and acceleration comparable to that of a 6 cylinder Cayenne. While the Cayennes, 6 cyl. or 8 cyl get 15 mpg, I consistently get 20 mpg city and 22 mpg highway. I have 34,000 miles on my Ridgeline RTL. I have had no repairs and no problems. I just returned from a 3400 mile trip and found the leather seats comfortable. I averaged 22 mpg at 80 mph on I-95. The vehicle felt completely stable. There is a lot of space in the cab. With the back seats folded up, I hauled a 42 inch LCD tv with a person holding it! I especially like the hidden compartment under the bed. It holds 2 full sets of golf clubs. My only complaint is the bed "liner," which isn't really a liner and is simply painted black. I have used my truck to haul horticulture trimmings, windows, wood. It has gotten many scratches. Honda should spend the extra $50 and at least spray in a real liner. I am so impressed with my truck's value, performance, styling and comfort that I will be purchasing a 2008 in the next 6 weeks.
Critical Review
Costing to much money into this truck. Transmission replacement, engine head gasket. Ball joints etc. Buying this vehicle while making payments was a terrible mistake. No warranty, to old of a vehicle.

It was expensive since we bought out the lease. But the vehicle has been good. It has never had any trouble, as I have always maintained it. I have now only 245000 KMS. So I haven't put much driving in. Brakes last well for me. Makes a bit of noise now, think I need a new compressor. I like the vehicle, has leather seats and a sun roof. Oh and this one was built in Alliston Ontario Canada.
Body still in good shape, comfortable, love the look compared to new ones
13 miles per gallon in town, 19 to 20 on highway
I bought in May 2005, I have 150000 miles on it.
I purchased the vehicle from a friend at 110,000 miles who had taken exceptionally good care of and all paper work since new. At 115,000 miles the radiator went out although it had been flushed 3 times. After that repair it left me stranded on the highway with no cell signal. Apparently there is a common problem with spark plugs blowing out and ruining the engine. Recalled for Honda pilots but not for the ridgeline. After I get the engine replaced I'll be selling this lemon ASAP!!!
Nope
Old news trucks, value, reliability
Over paid for this truck being 100k mileage. I'm basically stuck with it, nobody wants to pay fair trade in value. Just because KBB says one thing, doesn't mean that's how much you can get. It's much lower in value than you think!! Being over 10 years old the value is pretty much gone. This has a bit of rust problems going on. The engine looks like it's corrosion. Interior falling apart, headliner coming down. Bad fuel mileage etc.
Not
Engine, Transmission, Water leaking
Here we have DEQ testing as well. I, read someone else's comment about oil leaks. Here this vehicle didn't pass emissions either. Catalytic converter needs to be replaced and have a updated tune up. Vehicle is burning oil as well. It's these older vehicles they want off the road. Nice looking truck, but they are outdated being 10 years+ old.
Emissions won't pass
Talk about a headache, bought this truck pre-owned. It's a sitting junker that won't pass emissions in Portland, Oregon. They said it has oil leaks, gasoline fumes to strong. Catalytic converter is shot. Air intake problems. Trying to get out of this truck as soon as possible. I'm not dumping money into this truck!!
Nooo
Rust building up, engine etc
This truck has been nothing but repairs. Trashy transmission, engine and rust building up all over the frame. It's hard to trade this in as nobody wants to pay. Can't afford to have any more headaches because of my blood pressure. Being honest, walk away from these older vehicles.
Engine, etc all junk
