Positive Review
Just purchased this vehicle for my son who graduated high school and now in college plus working full time. He and my other son were on the way home from work and were in a pretty bad accident where another driver ran a red light. The airbags deployed, vehicle was totaled but it did it’s job by protecting my sons with very little to no injuries.
Critical Review
Its looks are deceiving. The LX model is very cheap. The engine is too small and very loud. The CVT transmission annoyingly sluggish. Ride is choppy. You'll annoy every driver on the road with its noise and sluggish 0 to 60 in almost 11 seconds! not worth the savings on gas mileage.

Comfortable, affordable, reliable
Needs more torque and gas goes faster
I brought my suv in April 2023. I like the new body style. It has more space and is really sporty.
Engine, gas mileage, resale value, longevity, previous gen si front brakes, responsive steering.
A couple of recalls. Road noise from tires.
Through the first 47k miles the car has been excellent for a first year car having minimal issues. I've taken my sport on quite a few long trips and the driver assist features have been an awesome thing to have and work well (aside from construction zones). Drives excellent in the snow and the brakes are holding up extremely well. I average about 28MPG with my AWD sport. The K series should prove to continue to be reliable. The only downside is its slow to accelerate from a stoo but does well when it's able to engage i-vtec. Value for money it can't be beat. (Especially on residual value)
Good gas mileage
Everything else
Honda upgrades made this vehicle worse. They should have left the HRV alone. Only good thing I can say good is the gas milage is great. I loved the old 2021 hrv.
Good gas mileage
Everything else
I owned the Older model 2021 and loved it. The 2024 model had lots of changes. 12v to charge is in cargo area which I use with my job. So this was a huge inconvenience. Most of the changes I didn't like.
Good on bad back luxurious cheap
Mildly heavy trunk no ventilated seats minor issue
I hav e the highest trim for my bad back and it is pretty nice the heated seats are cool you can feel it in 2 minutes but no ventilated seats. Trunk is much heavier to open than other 5 seaters but nice features those are pretty low grade cons so buy it liked the 2 years free Sirius xm
Styling, price, nice interior
Mpg is ok, engine bay get dirty easy due to gaps
It’s a great car to move around especially if you’re not a speedy because this is not a speedy car. This car gets you from point A to B and last for long time. Car is attractive n price too for this segment with led tail light n headlight. Nice speakers n sound. Down side of this car is no vent in the back, mpg is ok. Engine bay gets dusty very quick due to poor gap cover.
I can say that I bought this car September of 2023, it’s now Feb. I’m at 6k miles. I agree with it picking up speed slow but they made this model based on the Honda civic when were those cars ever picking up speed fast unless it was the type R or one’s that came with turbo? It picks up speed slow but it’s not a bad slow, people are over dramatic saying they can’t merge on the freeway due to this, simply don’t know how to drive or push the gas more like you should when you merge. A lot of the times when I’m driving it will pick up slow for 3 seconds (literally) and then next thing you know I have to slow down because you don’t notice the speed has picked up tremendously. The seats are 7/10 they aren’t that comfortable but of course they need to be broken into. I drive it Mon-Fri to and from work so they are more comfortable than they were the first time I bought it. The style is a 10/10. I love the orange stitching and leather. Dashboard is a bit noisy I noticed but it could be because I have a box in my glove department. Truck is huge to me and that’s me coming from a Honda civic. Overall this car rides smooth but not as smooth as you think it should. It’s a bit bumpy, I like the noise canceling where you can barley hear anything outside. You get what you pay for if you want a car that drives like butter you’re gonna have to spend way more than 25k. But if you’re thinking about getting this car, get it! I got it based on reliability that Honda has been known for and plan on getting a Toyota to add to the collection soon. Very fashionable car and definitely makes a statement, who cares about otherwise!
Car drives smooth for the first 15k miles but gets really rough after that. Has an issue were the car idles extremely rough and has some acceleration problems.
