Positive Review
I bought this car used earlier this year, and I really like it so far. The EX-L model is very nice, and I love the sunroof and stereo system. During the warm summer months, I'm somewhat regretting the black leather seats, but they're fine the rest of the year. I haven't had any issues with it, except a few cosmetic things. The front bumper is super low, so you have to be really careful during road declines (i.e. driveways, sidewalk crossings, etc.) I've already scuffed the front bumper a bit, and unfortunately, Honda doesn't sell a bumper guard for it. The silver paint on the steering wheel has flaked in a few spots, and I'm not sure how to repair that without it looking cheap or cheesy. I'll probably need to get some sort of touchup paint for it from Honda. I do wish that the Accord got slightly better mileage...I'm averaging about 24mpg in a combination of city and highway driving. Right now (7/2011), it's about $62 to fill the tank. The interior design is good. The console is nice, and there are great cubbies for storing cds, sunglasses, mp3 player, etc. I do wish that the center cupholders had a removable insert...cleaning up spilled soda is a bit of a chore. The one terrible thing about this car is the dot matrix at the top of the back window. I wanted to have the windows tinted, and the tint shop guys could not get the tint to adhere properly to the glass in that six inch stripe at the top of the window. I'd probably recommend having Honda tint the windows for you.
Critical Review
The brakes have squeaked since day one. I have had the rotors worked on and brake pads replaced numerous times. I took the car through the car wash within the first three months and I got water on my feet. The warning lights all over the dash lit up. Dealer reset the the computer for free and told me I must not have had the window rolled up all the way? I was told by the Service Manager that this car wasn't made to go through the car wash because the drying system air pressure was too much for the vehicle to handle. (This is not a joke - read below for a funnier excuse). The car has been in the shop for various reasons 16 of the 20 months I've owned the vehicle. I'm not a vehicle hypochondriac. It's been warning lights on time after time. Two weeks ago, the check engine light came on over a weekend. A friend at Firestone told me it was the O sensors and I should see the dealer. The dealer told me it wasn't the O sensors - it was the air filter. He replaced it and I drove off the lot and the check engince light came back on. Now...I'm told the service bulletin told him to blow air in the area and clean it out. I leave after this is complete and the vehicle is fine for one week. I go out to the vehicle after work last week and the key will not remotely open the door. I stick the key in the door and set the alarm off. The alarm doesn't turn off for 40 miles (turning the key in the door didn't work) and the air conditioner blows hot air the entire 50 mile commute home. So... the vehicle goes back in and I'm told the harness and the fuse system have corroded off the car. Here comes that water damage I reported 16 months ago. Extended warranty won't cover it. Honda won't cover it. Both parties agree this problem should not happen. Takes Honda one entire week to get the part. I have to pay the entire amount and the full cost for a rental vehicle. Honda NA offers $250 goodwill compensation. I refuse it. And, we haven't even identified the water source so it's bound to happen again. Get this - the new Service Manager tells me that this vehicle isn't intended for the car wash because of the water pressure. He called it forced entry and said it was like a hurricance. I am now told that Honda's top of the line model, the Accord, can't be taken through a car wash because of air pressure and water pressure. I wish I had a Yugo. I would bet I could take it through a car wash! As I walked out to my car after making the payment I had to laugh. They must have left the car out the whole week they had it. The car was filthy and had bird droppings on the driver's window. And, of course, I can't take it through the wash. This is my fourth Honda product since 2001. Honda NA didn't care. I have owned a TL, two MDX's and now this piece of junk. They are not making a quality product nor are they standing behind their problems. One customer service person with the last name of Perez told me he was clearly stating the position of Honda NA and then terminated the call when I asked how to escalate my problem. Can't wait to trade it in. Worst mistake of my life!

I've driven my LX over 13 years and the only thing that I've had to replace is one wheel bearing. I have kept it maintained and it still runs like new. The interior and paint still look great.

My 2012 Honda Accord is great, It handles great on the road. My 1st week I had it I drove to NC and was truly impressed. I only stopped for gas 1 time on a 14hour ride. It was so smooth I found myself hitting 85 - 90 mph of course I backed off when I noticed it. Yep I was just singing Kirk Franklin Songs on my CD & didn’t notice the speed, I’ve had it for 12 yrs the steering is tight, it still feels like Brand new I get my oil changed twice a yr and just had the Timing belt changed, nothing wrong owner manual said do it at 80,000 to 100,000 I had it changed at 81000 miles & put a new set of Yokohamas tires on and It’s brand new all over again. We’ve had several Hondas in the family since 1984 & this one is the Best Thanks Honda from the Chandler Family 👍🏽
My sibling has this car. I may be a computer programmer, but I can notice good design when I see it! It's boring and mundane, and thats why I love it!
I've had this car for 7 years, it's dependable and is very stylish. I love my sun roof and built in stereo above trunk.
Sits a little low to the ground for me
Excellant car. Bought is new off the lot added the spoiler and moon roof. Great great car, just wanting to get another Honda maybe a SUV that sits up a little more. This car sits a little low to the ground for me now and its about to trip 200 thousand miles
