Positive Review
I was convinced I wanted an Acura TL. Then it snowed, so I thought about getting an Acura RDX. Didn't like the body type. Looked at MDX, but too much car since my wife already has Odyssey. Went to Honda dealership to test drive new CR-V. Liked the redesign, but wasn't convinced with the 4 cylinder engine. Walked by the Crosstour on way to test drive and asked about it. My assumption it was simply an Accord hatchback. I was dead wrong. I test drove it and immediately had the car I needed. The interior is very Acura-like with higher quality materials. I love the Bluetooth sync with the Navigation. The drive is very nice and powerful with command seating higher than a sedan, but lower than SUV. The seats go back and the storage is impressive. Being a father of a growing family, I wanted the utility, but also wanted to have a professional looking car to visit clients. The only weakness could be the visibility in the back, but Honda rectified that with tilting side mirrors and rear camera. All and all, I've never been happier with a car purchase.
Critical Review
This car seemed to meet all my needs. Good ride, fairly quiet, lots of room, all wheel drive. But within 5K miles the V-6 with the variable cylinder system caused major vibration from 20-25 mph. According to Honda this is "normal". Resale is terrible. Dealers want no part of this car. NO ONE will give you anything for it, and Honda will not fix it. STAY AWAY ! I lost thousands on this car. The seats are hard as a rock and I was never able to fine a comfortable setting. I am done with Honda after nearly 30 years. Never again.

all around a great car
wish they still made this model
I an the original owner and 120,000 miles down the road and it has been an excellent car. as long as you take care of this vehicle it will take care of you.
sleek, peppy, solid and fun to drive.
Honda doesn't make this car anymore
In 2017 I was looking for a sedan and AWD I saw a Crosstour in a garage and said that's my next car. I have a friend who has a 2012 and I called her to ask if she still liked her car. Her reply was no, "I love my Crosstour!" I was an OR nurse on the evening shift and I had to drive-in all-weather conditions. In the winter snow my Crosstour outperformed my past 2 Outback by leaps and bounds. It's heavier and made it through unplowed roads like it was summer road conditions. The interior is sleek and roomy, I love the outside style. I concur that the roof slope does limit the cargo space but I didn't want a SUV, so I am OK with that fact. Overall, this is a Honda the engine performance is top notch, I have made it to 34 miles a gallon on a long highway drive. I wish Honda would bring back this car.
Awesome ride & comfort
None
Love my 2012 Crosstour EXL V6 very much, the ride is great, the power is great, built like no other, that's HONDA.
The Crosstour is a large Accord with a hatchback that allows for hauling lots of stuff. It has the reliability of a Honda, is easy to work-on and parts are reasonable. It feels like a big car, is very comfortable and has excellent handling. The AWD allows for driving on ice that is too slippery to walk on. The 3.5L V6 has lots of power. The sacrifice is lower gas mileage. I bought the car to most importantly protect my wife incase she's in an accident but at the time didn't realize how much I'd like like all the other amenities. I wish Honda continued to make this model. I would buy another without hesitation.
Ride is great! Engine is Powerful.
Nothing I can think of.
Bought my Crosstour 3 years ago with 98,090 miles on it, and it ran like Bran new. Great ride, V6 is Awesome, just a fun big vehicle to drive. If you take care of the Crosstour, it will take care of you. It's a Honda, what did I expect, Nothing but the best
I bought this car new and have done service intervals myself. In 185,000 miles, other than maintenance, the alternator failed and the front CV axles needed to be changed. That's it. Still runs smooth and quiet, handles great, doesn't leak anything. Will probably last another 185k.
LARGE HAULING CAPACITY (COLLEGE MOVE DAY)
SHORT BACK WINDOW HEIGHT, BACKSEAT RIDERS CARSICK
This Honda is an excellent car to drive, own, care for, and to haul things around. When this car is well maintained, it can be driven to exceed 200,000 miles. I love the rearview camera. The heated seats are also a bonus. The sleek design has a masculine appeal, especially with the rear tinted windows.
Great Car for every single one of your needs and has that Honda reliability so you never have to worry about it
