Positive Review

"Best vehicle I have ever owned in 50 years."

8 years and 40000 miles and the vehicle has never been in for repairs - just oil changes, tires and a battery. Extremely comfortable for long drives, more power then you would ever need. Only down side is gas mileage and tough to park in tight spaces.

"I Got Taken - Hope I can Save You From the Same"

Purchased a used Yukon XL SLT. Great convenience to this vehicle, comfortable ride, nice bucket seats, great features. Parents still own a 2001 Chev. Tahoe LT they purchased new with 300k on the 5.3 liter with only a water pump and alternator replacement in 15 years of ownership. I thought great, I will purchase a used Yukon with 5.3 liter and should be OK even though it had 135k on the odometer. I was wrong. Here is what has gone out on this vehicle in 12 months of ownership: fuel throttle body, fuel pump, fuel pressure release solenoid, and the biggie.....the whole engine. Yes, I just had to replace the engine to a tune of 6,000. If I can help you out here is what the issue is: they use oil due to Active Fuel Management of AFM which GM put into place in 2007. This means that the oil in your engine disappears are your engine changes between 8 cylinders to 4 cylinders and back again to be more fuel efficient. Moral of the story. Do not purchase an 07-2011 GM 5.3 liter unless you get a great deal and bake into your costs about 6k in repairs.

Extremely Reliable and Powerful
Pros

Reliable, Powerful

Cons

Gas Mileage, Rear Seat Comfort

I bought this car in 2015 and I still have it. It has 245,000 miles and I have never had any major issues, it starts immediately. It is very Reliable! The gas mileage is okay, not great, but not terrible. 15 City/18 Highway. It has a ton of power! It towed a 7,000 pound trailer with 7 people inside the car with absolutely no issues. It does exelent in the snow, even without 4WD, but 4WD made it feel like you were driving on a normal day. I have never been stuck in a sticky situation and the 4WD always help me out. It has plenty of ground clearance for off road even without the Z71 package. The front seats a very comfortable, but the back seats wear out very fast and are soon extremely uncomfortable for long drives. This car is very easy to drive, despite how long it is, a new driver would have no issues learning to drive it. I highly recommend this vehicle!

Super Reliable

My car has 240,000 miles on it and it still runs like new. It tows 7,000 pounds no problem. Drove it halfway across the country many times with absolutely no issues.

Very Reliable. Great Family Car.
Pros

Good Power, Very Reliable, Lots of Room

Cons

Poor Gas Mileage

It has 240,000 miles on it and still runs great. Never had to replace transmission or engine and I have towed a 7,500 pound trailer and it did it with no problem.

Terrific vehicle
Pros

Performs very smoothly in almost all areas.

Cons

Door locks do not always work correctly.

I bought this vehicle when it had 9500 miles on it. This has been my favorite vehicle of all the ones I have owned.
