Positive Review
My 1999 Yukon, with the venerable 5.7 liter Vortec, 350 SBC is simply the toughest most well engineered vehicle ever made. At 248,540 miles, it sits ALL ORIGINAL. Right down to the original factory SPARK PLUGS! This also includes all drivetrain components. I have never had a leak, hiccup, or failure in this SUV. It is mechanically and electronically PERFECT, and I believe 100% that it will hit 500,000 miles or more with only routine synthetic oil changes. For anyone looking to buy, as long as the vehicle is taken care of, it's a safe bet. The engine is bulletproof, and simple. My formula is Mobil 1 Full Synthetic oil, Shell V-Power 93 Octane gasoline (Yes it is more expensive, yes it is actually worth it), and Marvel Mystery oil in both the gas and oil at all times.
Critical Review
I own a 1999 GMC Yukon. I had to replace the fuel pump, very expensive, at about 110k miles, and then the water pump at 120K. Funny thing is, I also own a 1998 chevy pickup and my father owns a 1999 chevy tahoe and all three vehicles needed the same parts replaced within 6 months of eachother and within 5k miles of eachother. Also had to replace the alternators and starters at about the same intervals and within a couple of months of eachother. I think that this is the strongest evidence I have ever seen of engineering defects into a vehicle so that they can make the aftermarket money. The big three american auto makers want to know why they are losing market share, well quality is a great big reason. Also, all three of these vehicles were "assembled" at the plant in mexico, if that has anything to do with it. Hope GM saved some money because it sure is costing me a bundle.

The SUV is still in very good condition.
The radio and the back hatch need help.
We bought this vehicle in 1998, it is a 1999. Still in clean condition. We are the only owners. Neither of us can drive anymore, the only reason or we would keep it! The hatch does get stuck every once in a while. The radio works, but sometime it will stop for a few minutes. That is all I can think of right now.

We use this 1994 in my family as a winter truck and for plowing 20 driveways and this beast dose the job at 92 k and 20 plus years the truck runs like a beauty! The truck dose great but can’t go over 60 now but it still gets you where ya need to go and plows the driveways
I love that is reliable and everything works
None. I couldn't ask for a better 4x4
Mine is old, runs perfect no loud exhaust, no knocking, ticking ect. It doesn't burn oil or gas shifts well. Everything I mean everything still works. Heated seats front and rear work and get hot. 4x4, heat, and air conditioning ect. I have replaced nothing. I love mine so much if it ever does die I will just buy a new motor and transmission and replace them. I usually wouldn't bother but this has been a excellent purchase and I love it. I have zero rust the same year pickup trucks are rusted out so I have no idea how mine has held up so well. But I love it, will not sell it!
Just bought this truck from a single owner who has owned this truck for 20 years and produced every receipt for every service. This has been one reliable truck! In 20 years and 200,000+ miles this thing never let him down once. Original engine and transmission, BOTH of which are STILL strong. I don't know what he paid for it new in 1999 but this thing has cost him MAYBE $500 a year to own on average, and this was a guy who was LOOKING for reasons to fix/repair anything and everything on this truck any time he could. I'm excited to see how many more years/miles I can get outta this beast.
fun, has power
Causes trouble when you dont need it to.
good truck. dents here and there
