What Owners are Saying About the 2022 GMC Yukon XL
"Rattles"
"Back glass in the lift gate rattles loudly, literally moving up and down. It has been in shop 4 times, they hear it and see it, but can't figure out how to fix it. Had to file a claim with GMC. Very disappointed. Most of trim on inside is cheap plastic and poorly assembled. The ride is as good as the previous model. Turns and handles like a car, not a truck."
"2022 Yukon AT4"
"Vehicle had a defect from the factory. Every time it rained water would run down the inside of the dash and into the floor. The water covered the wiring and passenger side fuse panel. After three attempts at my local service center the leak was stopped. Now the vehicle is having electrical issues. The yukon has been at the shop a total of 70 days. GM’s solution to the problem was to send a field service engineer to work on it for another 15days. I have been a diehard GM customer since I was 14 years old. To say the least, this is very disappointing. Obviously, this isn’t the case with all GM vehicles. I just wish GM would make it right!"
"Pricey but worth it"
"Let’s be real here, all SUVs are pricey these days, even cheaper know cars like Kia’s. Then it gets more expensive with full-size SUVs, and desirable ones like the GM brand. My Yukon wasn’t cheap by any means, but I knew that going in. It is huge, comfortable, and has all the features that I could need and want. The gas mileage is just horrible, as expected, but I knew I wasn’t buying a Prius here. My biggest complaint is with GM, they nickel and dime you to death with ridiculous add-on subscription based services. Even the My GM app costs $15/month, absurd, and this service used to be free!"

Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
Standard on the Yukon is forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. This system can warn the driver of vehicles or people that may be in the Yukon’s path and, if the driver fails to take action, can slow or bring the vehicle to a stop before a collision can occur.
Lane-Keep Assist with Lane-Departure Warning
Active at speeds above 37 mph, these two systems use cameras to track lane lines and assure the vehicle stays on course. If the system detects drift, an amber warning light will appear and the steering wheel will gently move to correct course. If no action is taken, an audible tone will sound on the side of the direction the vehicle is drifting.
Safety-Alert Seat
When combined with the Lane-Keep Assist system, the Safety-Alert Seat will vibrate on the side the vehicle is drifting, further alerting the driver to take corrective measures.
