Positive Review
Back glass in the lift gate rattles loudly, literally moving up and down. It has been in shop 4 times, they hear it and see it, but can't figure out how to fix it. Had to file a claim with GMC. Very disappointed. Most of trim on inside is cheap plastic and poorly assembled. The ride is as good as the previous model. Turns and handles like a car, not a truck.
Critical Review
Just don’t buy it, it will break down with faulty lifters....it's known problem and even after fixing will continue to happen. I know it looks nice but avoid at all costs. Don’t make the same mistake I did and ignore these reviews. Car broke down on a busy interstate in the middle of nowhere with kids in the back. Sat in the car waiting for a tow. Because of Covid, we couldn’t ride in the tow truck back to the dealer (they were closed anyways). An hour later we finally found a cab to pick us up and give us a $200 ride home. It’s been almost 4 weeks without a car and GM has been terrible to work with to get a loaner or rental. I will not buy another GM car again and you shouldn’t either. 5,000 miles on an $85,000 car. What a joke.

Ride, comfort, styling
Fuel mileage and reported reliability issues
Our family has had a 2017 Tahoe for the last 3 years. We sold it at 100k and bought a ‘22 SLT with $27k miles because we lived out Tahoe so much - especially on family road trips. I never did any research or read reviews until after we bought. I am blown away at the technology, comfort, ride, features, and attractiveness of this car. We could not be happier and frankly I’m thankful we could afford a car this nice. It even has 4WD for the occasional use for work (I’m in the landfill business). The denali has much nicer leather and the seats could definitely be cushier, but the interior quality and sunroof blows me away. I can not speak to the quality except to say ours had only 2 minor recall issues. Highly recommend based on my week of ownership. Hope it stays that way….fingers crossed
Vehicle had a defect from the factory. Every time it rained water would run down the inside of the dash and into the floor. The water covered the wiring and passenger side fuse panel. After three attempts at my local service center the leak was stopped. Now the vehicle is having electrical issues. The yukon has been at the shop a total of 70 days. GM’s solution to the problem was to send a field service engineer to work on it for another 15days. I have been a diehard GM customer since I was 14 years old. To say the least, this is very disappointing. Obviously, this isn’t the case with all GM vehicles. I just wish GM would make it right!
I bought a 21 Yukon XL, SLT with the premium package (captain chairs, tvs, leather) in January of 21 before the chip shortage. I only drive it once a week (I have a work car) and on family road trips. At 1 year old and 3k miles, it died in a drive thru.. fuel regulator.. and had to be towed (fun fact you can't put them in neutral since the transmission is all electronic). On to June 25, 2023... The radio had to be replaced because it wouldn't download an update and it could just stop working at any point, also disabling the wifi (one week before our two week road trip). July 14th 2023, driving home on the last day of our two week road trip... the engine (we believe) breaks a lifter 100 miles from home and we have to get it towed, find a hotel, then work out two rental cars (family of 5 with two weeks worth of luggage) to get home. I was never a GM fan, but my wife was raised on them. I will be getting rid of this garbage as soon as I get it back... from the second major failure, with only 11k miles on it.
very confortable to ride
too many mechanical problems .
i bought a brand new 2022 gmc yukon slt in november 2021 . i decided to go with a new truck to avoid dealing with previous owner miss taking care and stuff . after 1 year the truck start to experience problem . 2 times battery will completely drain and it wont turn on . now we have a similar situation but now the battery is full and suv would not turn on. it cranks but its not turning on. i have a sierra 2014 not even that truck has gave me so much problems as this new suv. worst decision i made .
Let’s be real here, all SUVs are pricey these days, even cheaper know cars like Kia’s. Then it gets more expensive with full-size SUVs, and desirable ones like the GM brand. My Yukon wasn’t cheap by any means, but I knew that going in. It is huge, comfortable, and has all the features that I could need and want. The gas mileage is just horrible, as expected, but I knew I wasn’t buying a Prius here. My biggest complaint is with GM, they nickel and dime you to death with ridiculous add-on subscription based services. Even the My GM app costs $15/month, absurd, and this service used to be free!
Comfortable

Have owned Escalades before, the Denali is as good and $25,000 less expensive Highly Recommend the Denali
5th Tahoe/Suuburban/Yukon over 23 years. They just keep getting better. I have the Ultimate Denali with Air Ride and it's an amazing SUV. I'd forgo the rear entertainment, as it's a bit clunky and kids prefer tablets anyway. I'd obviously prefer it in the <$70k range, but paying $80k+ was the price in mid-2021 (before dealerships stated tacking on market adjustments of $5k).
